Claims (18)

1. Sammensætning til fremstilling af højstyrke, letvægtsglasfibre omfattende: S1O2 i en mængde fra omkring 69,5 til omkring 80 vægt-% af den totale sammensætning, AI2O3 i en mængde fra omkring 5,0 til omkring 18,5 vægt-% af den totale sammensætning, CaO i en mængde fra 0,0 til omkring 3,0 vægt-% af den totale sammensætning, MgO i en mængde fra omkring 5,0 til omkring 14,75 vægt-% af den totale sammensætning, U20 i en mængde fra omkring 3,25 til omkring 4,0 vægt-% af den totale sammensætning, og Na20 i en mængde fra 0,0 til omkring 2,0 vægt-% af den totale sammensætning.
2. Glassammensætning ifølge krav 1, hvor AI2O3 foreligger i en mængde fra omkring 9,0 til omkring 15,4 vægt-% af den totale sammensætning, og MgO foreligger i en mængde fra omkring 5,0 til omkring 10,2 vægt-% af den totale sammensætning.
3. Sammensætning ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvor sammensætningen er i det væsentlige fri for B2O3 og fluor.
4. Sammensætning ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 3, hvor sammensætningen har et ΔΤ op til omkring 250°C.
5. Sammensætning ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 4, hvor sammensætningen har en log 3 temperatur fra omkring 1255°C eller fra omkring 1300°C til omkring 1550°C.
6. Sammensætning ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 5, hvor sammensætningen har en liquidustemperatur på ikke mere end omkring 1510°C.
7. Sammensætning ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 6, hvor komponenterne i sammensætningen smeltes i en ildfast beholdersmelteenhed.
8. Kontinuert højstyrke, letvægtsglasfiber fremstillet afen sammensætning ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 7.
9. Glasfiber ifølge krav 8, hvor glasfiberen har et specifikt modul fra omkring 33,9 MJ/kg til omkring 35,0 MJ/kg og en specifik styrke fra omkring 1,74 MJ/kg til omkring 2,09 MJ/kg.
10. Glasfiber ifølge krav 8 eller krav 9, hvor glasfiberen har en pristinfibertrækstyrke imellem omkring 4200 og omkring 5000 MPa, et modul imellem omkring 80 og omkring 86 GPa, og en densitet imellem omkring 2,35 og omkring 2,46 g/cm3.
11. Fremgangsmåde til dannelse af en kontinuert højt ydende glasfiber omfattende: tilvejebringelse af en smeltet glassammensætning omfattende en sammensætning ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 7; og trækning af den smeltede glassammensætning igennem åbninger i en bøsning for dannelse af en kontinuert glasfiber.
12. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 11, hvor glasfiberen har et specifikt modul fra omkring 33,9 MJ/kg til omkring 35,0 MJ/kg og en specifik styrke fra omkring 1,74 MJ/kg til omkring 2,09 MJ/kg.
13. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 11 eller krav 12, hvor glasfiberen har en pristinfibertrækstyrke imellem omkring 4200 og omkring 5000 MPa, et modul imellem omkring 80 og omkring 86 GPa, og en densitet imellem omkring 2,35 og omkring 2,46 g/cm3.
14. Armeret kompositprodukt omfattende: en polymer matrix; og adskillige glasfibre, hvilket glasfibre er fremstillede af en sammensætning ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 7 eller glasfibre i overensstemmelse med ethvert af kravene 8 til 10.
15. Kompositprodukt ifølge krav 14, hvor polymermatrixen er en termoplastisk polymer valgt blandt polyestere, polypropylen, polyamid, polyethylenterephthalat, polybutylen og kombinationer deraf.
16. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af et armeret kompositprodukt omfattende kombination af i det mindste ét polymermatrixmateriale og adskillige glasfibre i overensstemmelse med ethvert af kravene 8 til 10.
17. Anvendelse af glasfiberen ifølge ethvert af kravene 8 til 10 eller fremstillet i overensstemmelse med fremgangsmåden ifølge ethvert af kravene 11 til 13 for dannelse af et armeret kompositprodukt.
18. Anvendelse ifølge krav 17, hvor det armerede kompositprodukt er en vindvinge.
