Abstract

Profile element for forming an edge casting mould for an essentially horizontal slab, such as a balcony slab, has a vertical flange designed to form the edge of the casting mould, and a horizontal flange which is designed to form a mould part which extends in under the edge portion of the slab. The distance between the upper part of the vertical flange and the horizontal flange defines the thickness of the slab. The profile element consists of two separate part profiles 1, 2 which can be joined. One part profile 1 has a vertical flange part 3 which forms the vertical flange, and a first engagement member 7. The other part profile 2 has a horizontal flange part 5 which forms the horizontal flange, and a second engagement member 6, which is designed to join the two part profiles 1, 2, for reversibly bringing the first engagement member 7 into engagement in two different engagement positions. The horizontal flange part 5 and the second engagement member 6 are asymmetrically interconnected in such a manner that the distance which defines the thickness of the slab is variable depending on which engagement position the second engagement member 6 occupies when it is in engagement with the first engagement member 7. <IMAGE>
