Abstract

A warning system for crossings, such as railway crossings, comprising at least one sound generator (14) and at least one light generator (17) wherein the strength of the sound generator is controlled by the characteristic of the ambient noise, while the intensity of the light generator is controlled by the intensity of the ambient light. The sound generators and the light generators are incorporated in units which are arranged in a master post (1) or a slave post (2, 3), said master post and said slave post having an additional unit which, in the case of the master post, is a unit (19) containing electronics, while the slave post contains a unit (20) containing rows of terminals for the connection of lines and optical fibres which extend from the master post.

Claims (6)

1.
