CLAIMS 1. A dressing comprising a flexible and conformable top layer and an adhesive layer covering at least the edge portion of the skin-contacting surface of the top layer characterised in that the dressing has the general shape of an isosceles trapezium and the top line or base line of the trapezium is concave. 2. A dressing according to claim 1, characterised in that the edge of the legs of the trapezium are concave. 3. A dressing according to any of claims 1-2, characterised in that both the base line and the top line of the trapezium are concave. 4. A dressing according to any of claims 1-3, characterised in that the dressing further comprises an absorbent pad. 5. A dressing according to claim 4, characterised in that the pad is a foam. 6. A wound dressing according to claim 5, characterised in that the foam is a polyurethane. 7. A dressing according to any of claims 1-6 characterised in that the adhesive is a hydrocolloid. 8. A dressing according to any of claims 1-7 characterised in that the skincontacting surface of the dressing is covered by one or more release liners. 9. A dressing according to claim 8, characterised in that the release liner is separated from the adhesive along the edge portions along the legs of the trapezium by two tab members. 10. A dressing according to any of claims 1-9 characterised in that the dressing further comprises a pharmaceutically active ingredient.
