Abstract

The method involves moving the vehicle base part (2) along operating line. In the first step, during the movement of vehicle base part, the measuring probe carriers (4) are led in operating direction by the guiding device (3), up to a first reversal point (6) of the guiding device. In the second step, the measuring probe carriers are led back towards the operating direction by the guiding device, up to a second reversal point (7) of the guiding device. The velocity of the measuring probe carrier, relative to the vehicle base part, is the negative velocity of the vehicle base part. On achieving the second reversal point, the procedure continues with the first step. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) Positioning vehicle; and (B) Guiding device.
