Description
Description
Document EP 0,599,254 Bl relates to an angularly adjustable hinge, including a locking part mounted on a bush with a diameter close to the spacing of the clamping plates of the pivoting panel, and a single helical spring housed partially in a bore of a support part and partially in the bush. This known hinge has the drawback of a significant bulk due to the problem of wear between the hinge pin and the body, and further has an adjusting system using an adjusting screw and pressing balls having wear risks. The adjusting screw and pressure ball system of document EP 0,599,254 B1 has a low output, since the force exerted by the pressing ball is lower than the force exerted by the adjusting screw on that ball. During the penetration of the ball into the indexing pad, the force is decreased, which is detrimental to mechanical maintenance of the hinge and causes risks of loosening or misalignment.
Document FR 2,758,849 describes a leaf hinge, comprising a jaw for supporting a leaf, pivotably mounted around a pivot axis supported by at least one bearing secured to a support plate, with stop means for stopping the leaf in the idle position.
The stop means for stopping the leaf in the idle position include two stop pieces secured to the jaw of the support plate and arranged by mutual desmodromic cooperation in the idle position. One of the stop parts is rotatably mounted and can be secured in rotation with the hinge pin by means of the needle type, while the hinge pin can be blocked in rotation by means of the needle type.
Document DE-A-10249382 discloses a hinge comprising the features of the preamble of claim 1.
One aim of the invention is to propose a new hinge with angular adjustment, the adjustment of which remains constant and which does not have any risk of loosening during repeated biases of the pivoting panel.
Another aim of the invention is to provide a new hinge with angular adjustment allowing successive adjustments, or a change in the adjustment if needed, without risking marking the metal of the immobilized parts.
The invention relates to a hinge with angular adjustment including the features of claim 1, in particular for a pivoting panel, of the type including a supporting square with a yoke receiving an axis of rotation of a hinge body; an indexing roller device being pre-stressed by springs against an indexing pad able to be angularly adjusted relatively to the yoke by an angular adjustment and immobilization means, in which the supporting square includes a conformation for clamping an auxiliary element secured to the indexing pad; the supporting square has a slot able to be tightened by a tightening member to clamp the auxiliary element secured to the indexing pad; and the auxiliary element secured to the indexing pad surrounds the axis of rotation of the hinge body.
According to other alternative features of the invention: the auxiliary element secured to the indexing pad is conformed as a sheath coaxial with the axis of rotation of the hinge body; the auxiliary element secured to the indexing pad has knurling in order to be secured with the indexing pad; - the tightening member includes a fixing screw; - the fixing screw is mounted in a yoke of the supporting square; - the clamping conformation and the auxiliary element secured to the indexing pad are independent of the axis of rotation of the hinge body; - the axis of rotation of the body may be secured to the hinge body; or, alternatively, the axis of rotation of the body may be free to rotate relatively to the body.
The invention will be better understood owing to the following description, provided as a non-limiting example in reference to the appended drawings, in which: - Figure 1 diagrammatically shows a front view with partial cross-section along a longitudinal median plane of the hinge according to the invention. - Figure 2 diagrammatically shows a bottom view with partial cross-section along line II-II of figure 1 of the hinge according to the invention. - Figure 3 diagrammatically shows a front view of a hinge element according to the invention.
In reference to figures 1 and 3, the identical or functionally equivalent elements are identified by identical reference numbers .
In figures 1 and 3, a hinge according to the invention includes a support 1 in the shape of a square and a body 2 for mounting the pivoting panel, not shown.
The square 1 has a slot la over the whole of its height, while the body 2 includes two parallel plates 2a, 2b designed to grip a pivoting panel, not shown, and assembled to each other using at least one screw 2c.
The body 2 also includes a block 2d pierced with two bores receiving two helical springs 6.
The helical springs 6 exert thrust at the ends of a pin supporting a roller 5 to stress the roller 5 against an indexing pad 3 that can be angularly adjusted.
The indexing pad 3 includes at least one indexing notch 7 designed to identify a relative position of the body 2 with respect to the square 1.
The aforementioned provisions are used in hinges of the known type manufactured by the company STREMLER and do not require a more detailed explanation.
The invention aims to provide a new means for the angular adjustment of the indexing pad 3 relative to the supporting square 1.
To that end, a means 4 is provided secured to the indexing pad 3 surrounding the axis 2e of rotation of the body 2.
The means 4 is advantageously made in the form of a cylindrical sheath surrounding the axis 2e and having a knurling 8 for securing with the indexing pad 3. Thus, immobilizing the means 4 secured to the indexing pad 3 also makes it possible to immobilize the indexing pad 3 in a desired position.
The means 4 secured to the indexing pad 3 are preferably immobilized by bringing the edges of the slot la of the square 1 closer together, for example by tightening a screw 9.
The tightening of the screw 9 causes clamping of the cylindrical sheath 4 by reducing the diameters of the bores of the yokes lb, lc and thus performing diametric clamping of the cylindrical sheath 4 inside the yokes lb, lc of the supporting square 1.
Because the square 1 acts on the cylindrical sheath 4 as a slotted clamp, brought closer together by a tightening screw 9, no marking of the outer surface of the cylindrical sheath 4 is to be feared, such that it is possible to perform new adjustments if necessary, without any risk of damaging the outer surface of the cylindrical sheath 4.
The invention thus makes it possible to perform a better quality adjustment than the adjustments of the prior art, by simply moving the pivoting panel into the desired position before tightening the adjusting screw 9 to immobilize the indexing pad 3 in the corresponding position and to ensure any precise and repeated positioning of the pivoting panel, not shown, relative to the supporting square 1.
The axis 2e of rotation is preferably secured to the body 2 by means of a knurling 10, in a manner known in itself.
The invention also covers the alternatives in which the axis 2e of rotation is secured by another means to the body 2, or is freely rotating relative to the other parts of the hinge according to the invention.
The invention described in reference to one particular embodiment is in no way limited thereto, but on the contrary covers any modification of the shape and any alternative embodiment in the context and spirit of the invention.
Thus, the securing of the indexing means 4 and the indexing pad 3 can be done using any means: tight fitting, fastening by an auxiliary part, deformation, welding or bracing, or any equivalent securing means, without going beyond the scope of the present invention.
