Den foreliggende opfindelse angår en fremgangsmåde ved fremstilling af varmeisolerede ledningsrør og af den i kravets indledning angivne art.
I hovedpatentet, dansk patent nr. 142.268, er der beskrevet en fremgangsmåde til brug ved kontinuerlig fremstilling af varmeisolerede ledningsrør, ved hvilken der ekstruderes et lag af termoplast indeholdende et opskumningsmiddel på et metalrør, der eventuelt er forsynet med en folie, hvortil plasten klæber, hvorefter der foretages opskumning, hvilken fremgangsmåde er ejendommelig ved, at der anvendes en tværbindelig plast indeholdende et tværbindingsmiddel, og at temperaturen af plastsmelten i ekstruderen forhøjes til over tværbindingsmidlets sønderdelingstemperatur, men under opskumningstemperaturen. Ved fremgangsmåden ifølge hovedpatentet opvarmes plastblandingen i to trin, først op til tværbindingsmidlets sønderdelingstemperatur og i et næste trin til opskumningsmid-lets sønderdelingstemperatur, hvilket kan medføre den ulempe, 147372 2 at tværbindingen allerede er for langt fremskredet, saledes at en optimal opskumning ikke mere kan gennemføres, idet smelten er for sej, hvis tværbindingsgraden er for stor.
Det er den foreliggende opfindelses formål at forbedre den oven for omtalte fremgangsmåde og er for at tilgodese dette ejendommelig ved det i den kendetegnende del af kravet anførte. Ved fremgangsmåden ifølge opfindelsen fremmes opvarmningen ved de af dornens rotation fremkaldte forskydningskræfter således, at opskumningen allerede er sat ind, medens tværbindingen netop begynder. Den fra mundstykket udstrømmende smelte er allerede begyndt at tværbindes og skummer på grund af trykfaldet straks op.
Tværbindingsmidiet skal tilføres i en sådan mængde, at der ved udløbet fra plastificeringsenheden opnås en tværbindingsgrad på mindst 10$ og i opskummet tilstand på mindst 50$. Tværbindingsgraden bestemmes på grundlag af sol-gel-metoden. Ved for ringe tværbindingsgrad er smeltens viskositet for lav, d.v.s. at smelten flyder ned fra røret, og skumplastens cellevæg eksploderer på grund af luftarttrykket i porerne. Såfremt tværbindingsgraden er for stor, er smelten for sej. Drivgassen opnår ingen optimal opskumning.
Drivmidlet tilføres i en sådan mængde, at det frembragte skum har en rumvægt mellem 50 og 500 kg/m^. Tværbindingsmidlets smderdelings-temperatur skål vælges under opskumningsmidlets sønderdelingstemperatur. Derved begynder den første tværbinding før opskumningen. Det er endvidere hensigtsmæssigt at afglatte og tætne varmeisolationsla-gets ydre overflade. Dette kan f.eks. ske ved, at man sender det ekspanderede isolationslag gennem en opvarmet matrice eller, hvilket er særlig fordelagtigt, at udforme og temperere ekstruderens mundstykke på en sådan måde, at varmeisolationslaget opskummes glat og mindre tykt. På denne måde opnår man et varmeisoleret ledningsrør, der har optimale varmeisoleringsegenskaber og giver et optisk godt indtryk, da isolationslaget har en fast kappeagtig hård hud.
Opfindelsen forklares nærmere nedenfor på grundlag af det på tegningen viste udførelseseksempel.

Tegningen viser set fra oven et apparat, ved hjælp af hvilket fremgangsmåden ifølge den foreliggende opfindelse fortrinsvis kan gennemføres.
I en ekstruder 2's ifyldningsåbning 1 anbringes allerede forud blandet polyethylengranulat, opskumningsmiddel, tværbindingsmiddel og ældnings-beskyttelsesmiddel og blandes imtimt ved hjælp af en snegl 3 i blanderen 2 og opvarmes til en temperatur på ca. 130°C. Ekstruderen 2’s snegl 3 transporterer plastblandingen ind i ekstruderhovedet 4» hvor en dorn 5 er lejret drejeligt. Plastblandingen presses af sneglen 3 i det ringformede rum mellem dornen 5 og ektrusionshovedets hus og træder ud af mundstykket 6 i form af en slange 7. Dornen 5 har en gennemgående aksial boring 8, hvorigennem man fører det metalrør 9, som skal isoleres, og på hvilket plastslangen 7 krymper på.
Den plastblanding/ der skal ekstruderes, består fortrinsvis af 100 dele polyethylen - hård eller blød polyethylen - henholdsvis en blanding af de to arter, 0,3-2% af et peroxid, f.eks. dicumylperoxid som tværbindingsmiddel, fortrinsvis 0,7%, 2-7%, fortrinsvis 4% af et drivmiddel, f.eks. azodicarbonamid, og oa. 0,5% forskellige ældningsbeskyttelsesmidler, som holder skummet stabilt overfor ultraviolet stråling, kobber, nitrogen o.s.v.
Den plastblanding, som træder ud af ekstruderen 2, er ved indløbet i ekstruderhovedet opvarmet til ca. 130°C og opvarmes nu, indtil den træder ud gennem mundstykket 6, stadig mere. Rotationen af dornen 5 bevirker en forskydning af plastblandingen og tillader en eksakt temperaturstyring ved regulering af dornen 5's omdrejningstal. Temperaturstyringen bør vælges således, at smelten umiddelbart før udstrømningen fra mundstykket 6 antager en temperatur, der ligger over opskumningsmidlets sønderdelingstemperatur. Peroxidets sønderdeling begynder for dicumyl-peroxids vedkommende ved ca. 150°C og begynder kort før drivmidlets sønderdeling, hvilket drivmiddel sønderdeles ved ca. 180°C. Udgangstemperaturen i mundstykket 6's område skal være ca. 190-200°C. Det betyder, at der ud af mundstykket 6 træder en ekspanderende smelte, hvor tværbindingen er begyndt, og som yderligere tværbindes ved ekspansionen.
