Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a subject pipe having a low foaming degree and a high hardness at the outside and a minute and uniform foaming at the interior, by locating a taper die, whose temperature is adjustable, between an extrusion molding die and a pipe cooling die, and by performing a foam-molding as pressure is applied to a hollow. CONSTITUTION:Thermoplastic resin material is countinuously extruded by a screw 1, the extruded resin being fed to a die through a braker plate 2. The resin molten by heating is fed to a taper die 5 via a die point 4. The taper die 5 is adjusted to a proper temperature by means of suitable system such as allows cooling water to flow through the inside, a foaming degree and a crust thickness being decided thereat. The resin expanded and foamed at the taper die 5 is cooled by a cooling die 6 and further by a water bath 7, and thus, a given foamed pipe is produced. As a result of air being then blown from an air blow-in port 9 into a pipe hollow being shut tightly by the caliber cap 8, a foaming-molding is performed as an outer circumference surface of the pipe is pressed ageinst an inside surface of the taper die and of the cooling die.
