Abstract

The fire protection installation divides the protected space into sectors. Each sector has multiple thermal detectors (10) distributed over the sector and closing a compressed air conduit (12). If a high temperature is detected, the conduit is opened to atmosphere, and the drop in air pressure detected by a controller (16) which generates foam sprayed from all outlets (26) in the sector.
