Abstract

A two-phase drink has the following features : the lower phase contains a loading agent to adjust the density; one phase contains xanthan while the other contains a hydrocolloid; and the lower phase density is at least 0.02 kg/dm3 higher than that of the upper phase. An Independent claim is also included for production of the drink by mixing the upper and lower phases separately from each other, optionally followed by homogenization; and either filling the lower phase into a bottle then introducing the upper phase over the edge of the bottle or filling the upper phase into the bottle and then filling the lower phase at the bottom of this.
