Abstract

In a stationary housing, a rotating regenerative heat exchanger has rotatably mounted a cylindrical matrix 1 of a heat absorbing material and having axially extending annular recesses 3a and 3b with floor and side walls being formed in each of the two end faces 2a and 2b of the matrix 1, stationary sealing collars 5a and 5b extending into said recesses. Hereby, an efficient sealing is obtained between the inputs and outputs of the heat exchanger without any high abutment pressure. <IMAGE>
