Abstract

Thin-layer security elements (5) are transferred from a carrier foil (6) onto a substrate material (2) in a hot-press procedure. Uncoiled onto an intermediate product spool (11) together with the substrate material, the carrier foil acts as a separating layer between the security elements transferred onto the substrate material and the substrate material for an adjacent winding point. An Independent claim is also included for an intermediate product as a spooled product for producing valuable documents.
