Abstract
The operation unit (20) has at least one operation element to move a brake (30) mounted on the vehicle bogie (1) between braked and rest positions. The operation unit has an operation cylinder (22) on each side of the bogie and a spring unit with two springs (26). The spring unit holds the brake at a given minimum distance to the upper edge of the rail in the rest position. Centring devices hold the brake in the rest position without play. An Independent claim is included for a method to move a railway vehicle brake from a rest to a braked position.
