Abstract

A hydropneumatic anti-hammer tank with an air intake device (1) in a water pipe in which pressure drops occur. The device includes a means for sensing the liquid pressure in a first pipe portion, and a means for opening a port (3a) leading to a second pipe portion. The means for sensing the liquid pressure in the first pipe portion may include a sealed chamber (4) with a variable volume communicating with said first pipe portion.
