Abstract

The hearing aid has an implanted microphone with a microphone capsule contained within a hermetically sealed microphone housing (11), provided with 2 arms (31,32) extending at an angle to one another. One of these arms contains the microphone capsule and is provided with a sound detection membrane (5), the other provided with electrical lead connections, positioned adjacent the mastoid point. The microphone housing may contain microelectronic components and a supply battery which can be charged from an external charging device transcutaneously.
