Abstract

The lamp holder has an insulating housing (11) with a retaining spring (12) for the inserted lamp provided by an annular central piece (15) fitted around the lamp holder, with a pair of spring arms (16) on one side for engaging the lamp socket and a pair of retaining arms (18) on the other side cooperating with the holder. The retaining arms extend axially, with the central piece acting as a flexure spring causing them to splay outwards when the spring arms are pressed together for easy fitting to the lamp holder housing.
