Abstract

Described is a method of purifying oven exhaust gases in which oily organic substances based on mineral oils or natural oils are added to the exhaust-gas stream emerging from the oven and the temperature of the exhaust-gas stream is adjusted so that the oily organic substances do not burn or vapourize. The substances added are subsequently precipitated out together with the impurities originally present in the exhaust gases.
