Abstract

The roof window has a main frame on which is fitted a pane (2) by means of a bearing. The pane is openable so far around a pivot axis that the outside (4) of the pane is accessible for its cleaning from the room side (6) and in this cleaning position the pane is fixable against the main frame by means of a bolt (7) movable by hand on the upper cross rail (8) of the pane. The bolt works in conjunction with a closure housing (10) on the longitudinal arm (11) of the main frame near its lower cross arm. The closure tongue (25) of the bolt is provided with a nose function (26) for engaging behind a rib (30) limiting the closure aperture (29) of the closure housing. <IMAGE>
