Abstract
The composite pipe (1) consists of an outer pipe (2) made of a metal which is corrosion-resistant under the conditions of use and of a thermoelastically stretched inner pipe (3) of thermoelastic polymer such as crosslinked polyolefin. The thermoelastically stretched inner pipe (3) is, because of the thermoelastic stretching, in sealing contact with the outer pipe (2). The outer pipe (2) has sufficient strength to resist the expansive forces of the inner pipe (3), and its thermal expansion is less than that of the inner pipe (3). <IMAGE>
