Abstract

The present invention relates to a double-edged die-sinking tool (1) for milling and drilling, comprising an essentially cylindrical mounting shank (3), which in its front area (7) has a groove (9), having parallel inner side walls (11, 13) open to the front, for accommodating a cutting tip (5), and a fastening screw (31) which, to secure the position of the cutting tip (5), can be screwed into a bore (15) running perpendicularly to the axis (17) of the mounting shank (3) and the parallel inner side walls (11, 13) of the groove (9), the fastening screw (31) extending through a through-hole (39) in the cutting tip (5) in the screwed-in state. The double-edged die-sinking tool is distinguished by the fact that a locating V-block (43) is provided between the base (50) of the groove (9) and the cutting tip (5), which locating V-block (43) has a 90 DEG V-way centring means (bearing surfaces 45, 47) for three-point contact of the cutting tip (5), and the cutting tip has land surfaces (51, 53) complementary to this. <IMAGE>
