Abstract

Electrochemical cell, especially for electrodialysis for the purpose of reconcentrating chromic acid, of the type comprising at least one cathode compartment and at least one anode compartment, each sheltering a cathode and an anode respectively, and separated by at least one ion exchange membrane. According to the invention the cell is made in the form of a tight stacking of cathode and anode compartments, in that each compartment is defined by a rigid frame (110) at least one arm (114) of which has a through opening (115) and in that each electrode (180, 190) fastened to an electrode support (160, 170) is capable of being mounted removably in its corresponding frame from the outside, through the said opening, by leakproof fastening of each electrode support onto the associated frame. <IMAGE>
