Abstract

A plastic moulding 1 is provided for connection or coupling to a metal moulding, sleeve-shaped at least in regions, especially for the simultaneous encasing and lining of pivot sockets for hinges or the like. It is characterised in that a one-piece, thin-walled injection moulding consists of a casing portion 2 of a spacial form adapted to the outer contour of the metal moulding, and of at least one tubular core portion 3a or 3b adjoining it coaxially as an extension and of a spacial form matched to the inner contour of the metal moulding, in that the core portion 3a or 3b adjoins a transverse end wall 2a or 2b of the casing portion 2, and in that in the transitional region 27 between each end or transverse wall 2a or 2b and the core portion 3a or 3b an approximately annularly extending predetermined breaking point 5a or 5b is provided around the outer circumference of the core portion 3a or 3b. This affords a connection or coupling of the plastic moulding to the metal moulding, which can be made easily at any time, but which then guarantees a permanently effective retention on the metal moulding. <IMAGE>
