DEUTSCHES PATENTAMTGERMAN PATENT OFFICE
The present invention relates to improvements in the hydroforming of gasolines, particularly to improvements in catalyst selectivity maintenance during of hydroforming.
Hydroforming can be used as a, process for! catalytic conversion of boiling range of the raw materials boiling gasoline, which are used at elevated temperatures and pressures in the presence of a solid catalyst and added hydrogen and under such conditions it is carried out that there is no net consumption of hydrogen.
In hydroforming, a raw gasoline is usually used as the raw material, in which Naphthenes are included. The method is particularly applicable to a heavy gasoline, that boils between about 95 and 165 °.
■ .The hydroforming is above all a ver. drive to the dehydration of naphthenes. Except however, the dehydration of naphthenes also takes place in some cases in the aromatization of paraffins as well as isomerization of normal paraffins with the formation of iso-paraffins and also hydrocracking instead of paraffins. ■.
In the present invention, the hydroforming of the gasoline is carried out under such conditions that low yields of C 3 and lighter hydrocarbons and ■: higher yields of C 4 and heavier hydrocarbons are obtained for a given "octane number" of the product .

In addition, the volatility of the hydroformate is increased, i.e. H. by means of the stabilized Hydroformats of a given vapor pressure according to '. Reid will essentially yield higher yields between about 70 and 100 ° boiling product produced.
This reduces the formation of heavy residues or so-called polymers during hydroforming. In this way, raw materials can be treated, the larger percentages 175-205 0 boiling material include, without undesirable amounts of about 260 0-boiling product, however, a maximum amount of aromatics from the data contained in the raw material naphthenes and paraffins is formed are prepared. The drawing represents the schematic diagram of a plant in which the method of the present invention can be practiced.
In the drawings, similar designations refer to similar parts.
In the drawing, 1 denotes a reaction zone in which an amount of a pulverized catalyst C is contained in the form of a dense fluidized bed extending from a grate G to an upper level L. This catalyst consists of molybdenum oxide, which is located on active alumina. The catalyst support, i.e. the clay may contain some silica. However, the silica should not be more than 5 percent by weight of the catalyst.
Der Katalysator sollte etwa folgende Teilchengröße haben:The catalyst should have approximately the following particle size:

As can be seen in the drawing, the raw gasoline enters the system through line 7 and flows through a heat exchanger 8, where it is heated by heat exchange with hot process product and then passed through an oven 9 in which it is heated to a temperature of about 510 to 540 0 and then passed through the distributor nozzle 10 located above the grate G into the reaction vessel 1. At the same time, hydrogen-containing gas is passed through line 11 into the layer of the vessel 1. At the same time, a controlled amount of steam is fed from line 12 with the hydrogen-containing gas in line 11 into reaction vessel 1, the amount of steam being 0.3 to 6 mole percent of the gaseous material introduced into the reaction vessel. The preferred amount of steam is 0.5 to ι mol percent, based on all gaseous material, ie the oil vapors, the hydrogen and the steam introduced into the reaction vessel. Under conditions that are explained in more detail below, the desired reaction occurs, and the reaction products are drawn off upwards and passed through one or more cyclone separators 5 1 , in which entrained catalyst is separated off and through one or more immersed tubes d into the dense phase is returned. The reaction products are essentially free of catalyst. passed above through line 13 and then through a heat exchanger 14 which is used for the oil used in connection with the above-mentioned heat exchanger 8. The product is withdrawn from the heat exchanger 14 through line 15 and passed through a cooler 16 in which the normally liquid components are condensed and then passed through line 17 into a collecting vessel 18. A hydrogen-containing cycle gas is withdrawn from container 18 through line 19 and passed via line 20 and compressor 21 through line 22, then through a heat exchanger 23 and then through furnace 24 and line 25 in line 11 for recirculation into the process. Excess hydrogen-containing gas is removed from the system through line 26.
As for the separation vessel 18, it will Hydrofoirmat and all entrained catalyst recovered through line 27 and using conventional recovery tools that are not shown or described in the drawing and distillation devices refurbished for light hydrocarbons or petrol.
Since carbon-containing and other deposits build up on the catalyst during its use in operation, it is necessary to withdraw the catalyst from the reaction zone at regular intervals and to regenerate it with an oxygen-containing gas. Because of this requirement, the catalyst is withdrawn through a separator 28 in which it is treated with the steam introduced through line 29 to remove the volatile hydrocarbons entrained in the catalyst. The separated catalyst is then passed through the valve 30 into an air stream 31 and, suspended in this line, is passed into a catalyst regenerator 32. Additional air can be introduced through line 33. In the regenerator the catalyst is in the form of a dense fluidized bed which extends from the grate G to an upper level L. In the regenerator 32, the catalyst is cleaned by treating it with air to remove carbonaceous deposits and the regeneration vapors are withdrawn up through line 34. In order to control the pressure prevailing in the regenerator 32 Ternperatur, is located in the regenerator a through which a coolant cooling coil so that the pressure prevailing in the regenerator temperature does not exceed 650 0th The regenerated catalyst is then passed back through the line 36 regulated by the valve 37 into the lower part of the reaction vessel. Steam can be fed to the catalyst through line 38 with or without hydrogen-containing gas recycled through line 39

Add catalyst if a large surface area catalyst is used. Is z. If, for example, a catalyst with a surface area of only 100 m 2 per gram is used, a larger part of the steam is added to the gas in line 11. However, if a catalyst with a surface area of 150 to 250 m 2 per gram is used, most of the steam is mixed with the catalyst in line 36. introduced into the reaction vessel.
Various components can add to that described Catalyst are added. So z. B. HF are added to the catalyst, and The HF concentration of the catalyst can be adjusted by adding HF with one of the in the reaction vessel imported components, such as B. steam or oil can be maintained.
Zn · Al2O3.In the above description, an active clay was used as the carrier. Another good carrier or spreading agent for the molybdenum oxide is zinc spinel, ie Zn · Al 2 O 3 .
Dieses Wasser kannA major improvement in gasoline hydroforming is the addition of a small amount regulated amount of water according to the reactants in the reaction zone of the present invention. This water can
Hegt.together with the hydrogen-containing gas or during the pretreatment of the regenerated catalyst with hydrogen before its return can be added to the reaction zone. Instead of adding steam, an equivalent 50 Amount of oxygen or air can be added in the manner described. In some cases, the The amount of water in the system exceeds the amount required in the reaction zone. If this is the case, the water from the recirculated gas and / or the regenerated gas should be used Catalyst are removed to ensure that the amount of water in the reaction zone within the limits given above.
