Diese bekannten Mehrfachstecker haben Nachteile, die sie für die Verwendung in Starkstromnetzen ungeeignet machen. Erfindungsgemäss besteht das Gehäuse des Mehrfachsteckers aus zwei Dosen a und b, von denen die eine (a) die beiden durch die in seinem Boden befindlichen Löcher d hindurchgeführten Steckerstifte c trägt. Die beiden Steckerstifte c besitzen etwa in ihrer Längsmitte Abflachungen e mit Bohrungen, in denen die dort in bekannter Weise anzuschliessenden Kabelenden f mittels Klemmschrauben g befestigt werden. Die andere mit Pfeilern m versehene Gehäusedose b wird über die inneren als Steckbuchsen ausgebildeten Enden c(sub)1 der Steckerstifte c geschoben und mittels einer Schraube n mit den Boden n(sub)1 der Gehäusedose a verbunden. Die beiden Gehäusedosen a, b halten so die Steckerstifte c zwischen deren Hülsenteilen c(sub)1 und ihren Klemmstellen e fest.
