Für manche Kopierzwecke, z.B. die Vervielfältigung von Matrizen nach dem Umdruckverfahren, bei welchem entweder das Spiegelbild der Vorlage auf ein mit Farblösungsmittel befeuchtetes Blatt umgedruckt wird, oder bei welchem man ihr Klarbild zunächst auf eine Gelatineunterlage überträgt und von dieser die Abdrucke herstellt, benötigt man bekanntlich Kopierpapiere mit sehr weichem, leicht löslichem und infolgedessen sehr schmierfähigem Farbauftrag. Bei der Manipulation mit diesem Papier ist es fast unvermeidlich, dass die Farbe, die schlecht abwaschbar ist, auf die Finger übertragen wird. Diesem Übelstand sollen die bekannten, aus einem Blatt Kopierpapier und einem damit fest verbundenen Blatt des zu beschriftenden Papieres bestehenden Bogen begegnen.
