DEUTSCHES PATENTAMT GERMAN PATENT OFFICE
Sie betrifft insbesondere die Herstellung von komplexen Chrom- und Kobaltverbindungen von o, o'-Dioxyazofarbstoffen des TypsThe invention relates to the production of complex-bound heavy metal containing azo dyes, which do not contain acidic, water-solubilizing groups and for dyeing polypeptide fibers, in particular of wool, from neutral to weakly acidic dye baths in real yellow-brown to violet-brown shades are suitable. It affects in particular the preparation of complex chromium and cobalt compounds of o, o'-dioxyazo dyes of the type
ίο (F1 — M1 — F2) M2, worin F1 und F2 zwei gleichen oder verschiedenen Monoäzofarbstoffen, M1 einem Chrom- oder Kobaltatom und M2 einem Alkalimetall entsprechen.ίο (F 1 - M 1 - F 2 ) M 2 , in which F 1 and F 2 correspond to two identical or different monoazo dyes, M 1 to a chromium or cobalt atom and M 2 to an alkali metal.
5-Nitro-2-oxy-i-aminobenzol und 3, 4-Dimethyl-i-oxybenzol nicht nur für sich, sondern auch in Kombination mit gewissen anderen, geeignet substituierten o, o'-Dioxyazofarbstoffen, die keine sauren, wasserlöslich machenden Gruppen enthalten, nach an sich bekannten Methoden in komplexe Schwermetallverbindungen übergeführtWhile complex chromium and cobalt compounds of. o, o'-dioxyazo dyes of the discussed Type that do not have acidic, water-solubilizing groups, such as sulfonic acid or carboxyl groups, and no hydrophilic groups which favorably influence the water solubility, such as sulfonic acid amide or Alkyl sulfone groups contain, mostly not due to insufficient water solubility for dyeing purposes suffice or result in worthless wool dyeings due to a lack of rubbing fastness, it has now been found that the Dye from diazotized! 5-nitro-2-oxy-i-aminobenzene and 3, 4-dimethyl-i-oxybenzene not only for but also in combination with certain other, appropriately substituted o, o'-dioxyazo dyes, which contain no acidic, water-solubilizing groups, according to methods known per se converted into complex heavy metal compounds

■ iin which A is the radical of an azo component of the benzene, naphthalene, i-phenyl-5-pyrazolone and acetoacetic acid phenylamide series coupled in the vicinity of the phenolic or enolic hydroxyl group, X denotes a nitro or an alkylsulfone group and Y denotes hydrogen or a nonionic substituent customary in azo dyes , according to methods known per se, chromium or cobalt donating agents can act in such amounts and under such conditions that 2 ' dye molecules ι heavy metal atom is complexed. ■ i
A technically particularly simple embodiment of the method according to the invention is that one uses the same diazo component for both dyes, which one with the mixture of 3, ^ Di-SS methyl-i-oxybenzene and the azo component corresponding to A. coupled and then metallized the dye mixture by known methods. In In a special embodiment, the azo component corresponding to A is 3,4-dimethyl-i-oxybenzene, and a symmetrical metal-containing dye is formed.
. · .For the preparation of the monoazo dyes of the formula I, the diazo components used are preferably those 2-amino-i-oxybenzene compounds which contain a nitro group in the 4-position of the benzene ring. If necessary, they can still be further substituted non-ionically in the 6-position, in this case preferably by the acetylamino or the nitro group. Diazo components which contain a low molecular weight alkyl sulfone group in the 4-position, which may have, for example, 1 to 4 carbon atoms, provide industrially useful monoazo dyes of the formula I. As azo components there are phenols which couple in the o-position to the hydroxyl group, for example 4-oxy-i-methylbenzene , 4-oxyi, 2-dimethylbenzene, 4-oxy-3-acetylamino-i-methylbenzene, naphthols coupling in the o-position to the hydroxyl group, for example 2-oxynaphthalene, i-acetylamino-7-oxynaphthalene, 1-carbomethoxy-amino-7 -oxynaphthalene, 6-methoxy-2-oxynaphthalene, i-phenyl-5 L pyrazolones which can be coupled in the 4-position of the pyrazolone ring, for example i-phenyl ^ -methyl ^ -pyrazolone, i- (2'- or 3'- or 4 ' -Chlorophenyl) -3-methyl-5-pyrazblon, and also acetoacetic acid phenylamides in question, for example acetoacetic acid anilide or -2'-, -3'- or -4'-chloroanilide. . ·.
The diazotization is carried out as usual in a mineral acid solution or suspension in the cold with sodium nitrite and the coupling is carried out in an alkaline solution.
Compounds of those heavy metals that occur during complex formation are suitable as metal-releasing agents operate six coordination points because of the persistence and purity of the hues of theirs Dye complexes, preferably compounds of chromium and cobalt. Can be used, for example Chromium fluoride, chromium acetate, chromium formate, cobalt chloride, cobalt nitrate, cobalt sulfate and optionally also complex compounds of these metals, for example the alkali salts of chromium salicylic acid. You can work in aqueous solution or suspension or in organic solution, for example in low molecular weight alcohols, in formamide or in N-dimethylformamide. Appropriately, one takes care of weakly acidic, neutral or weakly alkaline reaction by working in the presence of alkali salts weak acids, for example in the presence of sodium acetate; mineral acid reaction affects the Metallization unfavorable. The metal donor is suitably used in such amounts that there is at least 1 atom of heavy metal for every 2 dye molecules. An excess interferes with weakly acidic not until alkaline reaction. Complex heavy metal compounds produced in an acidic medium advantageously converted into the more water-soluble alkali salts by post-treatment with alkalis.
Die beiden Farbstoffe F1 und F2 der einleitend ange-The two dyes F 1 and F 2 of the introductory
' His formulas are expediently used in equimolecular proportions, but minor deviations from this proportion do not bother much: the new, uniform or mixed heavy metal complex compounds, depending on their composition, are yellow-brown to dark-brown powders that dissolve in hot water with corresponding colors, and polypeptide fibers such as wool , Silk, super polyamide and super-urethane or casein fibers from neutral to weakly acidic baths in very real yellow-brown, red-brown, brown, violet-tinged brown or gray-brown shades. If appropriate, the heavy metal-containing dyes according to the invention can also be mixed with alkaline salts, such as sodium carbonate, trisodium phosphate, or with surface-active wetting and dispersing agents, in order to improve their solubility in water. '
Die erfindungsgemäß erhältlichen metallhaltigen Azofarbstoffe sind dem aus Beispiel 11 der deutschen Patentschrift 842 089 bekannten metallhaltigen Farbstoff ähnlicher Zusammensetzung im Ziehvermögen aus neutralem Bad und in der Licht-, Walk- und Reibechtheit ihrer Wollfärbungen überlegen. Den aus der belgischen Patentschrift 502 687 bekannten Mischkomplexverbindungen gegenüber zeichnen sie sich durch ein besseres Ziehvermögen auf Wolle aus neutralem und schwach saurem Bad und bzw. oder eine bessere saure Walkechtheit aus. ;The metal-containing azo dyes obtainable according to the invention are those from Example 11 of the German Patent 842 089 known metal-containing dye of similar composition in drawability from a neutral bath and superior to their wool dyes in terms of their fastness to light, boiling and rubbing. The off the mixed complex compounds known from Belgian patent 502 687 they stand out by a better drawability on wool from neutral and weakly acidic bath and / or a better acidic milled fastness. ;
