Zur Ausführung dieses Verfahrens ist ein Trockner vorgesehen, der gekennzeichnet ist durch eine Trommel mit einem Mantel aus Dampfrohren, die in einem luftdicht abgeschlossenen Kasten ait einer Schleuse für die Einführung des. Dadurch, daß in dem Kasten Unterdruck herrscht, wird eine niedrigere VerdampfungP-temperatur erreicht und eine Schädigung der Wollfaser durch zn hohe Temperaturen vermieden.- Es werden also im vorliegenden Falle dijLe Vorteile des Kontaktverfahrens mit denen der HeiSlufterv/ärmung vereinigt. Durch die Kontakterwärmung des Filzes auf den Dampfrohren behält der Filz noch soviel Wärme, daß eine Oberflächenverdunstung im weiteren Laufe des Filzes an die umgebende Luft stattfinden kann. Infolge des geringen Gewichtes der Rohrtrommel und der Lagerung in Rollenlagern ist das Drehmoment sehr klein, was zur Schonimg des Filzes beiträgtThe FiIa.
