Tag der Anmeldung: 19. März 1952 Bekanntgeniacht am 6. Oktober 1955Registration date: March 19, 1952 Announced on October 6, 1955
DEUTSCHES PATENTAMTGERMAN PATENT OFFICE
Zur Verhinderung des Wiederauslaufens der Schmelze aus den Lücken des Bandes wird letztere zweckmäßig für eine gewisse Strecke über eine glatte, ebene bzw. zylindrische, ruhende oder durch Drehen des Zylinders bewegte Unterlage geführt, wobei letztereThe subject of patent 817 300 is a method and a device for the extraction of solid, lumpy products from non-metallic melts, in particular from melts with a low solidification rate, by using an endless and flexible or articulated belt, with rollers or pairs of gears for deflection. This band has a large number of more or less regularly arranged gaps and consists of a wire mesh or of Glie-. the composite chain band, whose Mesh sizes or from the links, free spaces of the desired piece size of the solid, correspond to lumpy product and are charged with the melt that these the gaps fills and after their solidification in a suitable manner, for.
At the same time, the cooling brine can be used to dissipate heat from the solidifying melt, for example by cooling the substrate with air, water. In accordance with the different solidification rates of the processed melt, the length and running speed of the belt are advantageously chosen so that the product has taken on a sufficiently firm consistency in the luteum ring of the belt.
ίο h'.s it has now been found that the process of the I lauptp FILENIT can be designed and ingenious to carry out the process! The 1 lauptpaUnt can also use more simply built 1 devices as well as those in larger modifications.
It is proposed to obtain lumpy products from non-metallic melt according to I 'atent K17 300 in such a way that the melt is poured into the gaps of the subdivided endless belt in a relatively thin layer, the length and width of the particles of the end product are at most about five times their thickness. Advantageously, one can work in such a way that the endless belt is wetted or sprinkled with a cooling liquid from above after it has been charged. In some cases it has proven to be expedient to fill the gaps in the endless belt completely and then to pour a coolant onto the belt. Awesome in carrying out the process! According to the KriIi (IiUIg und ingenious! 1! main patent, devices have proven to be particularly advantageous in which the weight of the endless belt per unit area is relatively large compared to the weight of the melt introduced into this unit area. The devices can also be designed in such a way that that the clear width of the gaps in the endless belt is at most about five times its length.
Each! '". U-nient (U 1 S endless belt of the device can be connected to the adjacent belt element by a joint or a hinge rod. Line particularly advantageous device consists in that the endless; 1 belt in a circular ring on a horizontal In some cases it is useful to design the device in such a way that the endless belt is arranged on the jacket of a horizontal cylinder and the cylinder is set up to hold coolant if necessary.
Brilliant! the method of the present invention can not only largely subdivided, but advantageously be cooled in a relatively thin layer. How yourself Surprisingly has shown that the subdivision of the layer can make its thickness somewhat be chosen stronger without dal! this significantly increases the cooling time. From the Tests have shown, however, that the length and width of the individual parts of the work item may not be greater than about five times their strength. Once length and width this limit exceed, the influence of the subdivision of the layer on the cooling time decreases considerably. To the To meet the above-mentioned condition with regard to the dimensions of the parts should therefore be the clear The width of the cooling molds should not be larger than about five times their height.
If it is permissible for the work item to come into contact with a coolant, this can be done accordingly tightly divided shapes or braids to further reduce the cooling time after they have been filled, as set out above, are wetted with this coolant. Plastic masses, such as Pitch, petroleum bitumen or the like, as well as certain organic crystal melts, can easily be brought into contact with cooling water. If the work piece is wetted with a Cooling liquid is not possible, you have to either turn on the work piece poured into the molds allow to cool in air or in an inert atmosphere. This is how you will look at the cooling certain synthetic resins as well as many inorganic molten salts are limited to air cooling. In In such cases, the cooling time can be reduced further by choosing shapes, their weight is relatively large compared to the weight of the work item picked up. The endless one Tape is expediently made of such a material that it is an essential part which absorbs heat from the melt.
In the case of cooling with a liquid, such as. P). Water, is characterized by the invention Process in particular compared to the usual belt cooling process in a coherent, thinner Layer in that the surface of the solidified good in relation to its weight and consequently also its moisture through the adhering cooling liquid, which in many cases bothers, is much lower.
The present method and the devices proposed for carrying it out make it possible the rapid cooling of organic or inorganic crystal melts, e.g. B. naphthalene melts, and plastic masses, such as sulfur, pitch, petroleum bitumen, synthetic resin and plastic masses of various kinds. You can therefore with continuously operating devices large Transfer quantities of these substances from the liquid to the solid state.
The cooling time depends not only on the amount, but in some cases also on the type of Good work. For example, one becomes with certain condensation or polymerization substances Limit the cooling time as much as possible in order to prevent the reactions from continuing impede. You can feel yourself in all of these FTills largely adapt to the respective requirements through the choice of cooling forms. At the same time is the amount of work involved in this cooling and shredding process is much lower than in the known methods and devices.
In the drawings, the implementation of the method according to the invention is based on Devices shown in an exemplary embodiment.

Abb. Fig. Ι shows an elevation of a cooling device in which the work piece is poured into a grating through two suitable outlet devices ι. This grating is divided into numerous elements 2, which are articulated to form an endless, revolving belt. Fig. 3 shows the section CC through the cooling grate, enlarged compared to Fig. 1. As can be seen from Fig. 3, the individual grate elements 2 are guided by rollers 3 on a rail 4, which in the present case as U-iron is trained. Fig. 4 shows the side elevation of Fig. 3 and shows that each grate element is supported on four rollers 3. The axes of the rollers 3 are connected to one another in an articulated manner by tabs 5.
So that the liquid work material cannot run out after pouring into the molds, how from Fig. 1, a base plate 6 is arranged at the pouring points below the grate elements. This base plate rests on a frame 7, which is secured by three or more adjusting screws 8 can be adjusted in its height. In this way, the base plate can be with an adjustable force on the grate elements. Since these grate elements also, like from Fig. 4 shows, by two joint bars 5 are connected to each other, the grate elements can move parallel to the base plate, so that a sufficiently tight seal between Grate elements and base plate is guaranteed.
The drive of the pulleys 9 is shown in the figures not shown. This drive is advantageously adjustable so that you can use the same cooling device can set different cooling times depending on the work item.
Fig. 2 is a side elevation of Fig. 1 and shows that the pulleys 9 a Enclose spiked roller 10, through which the work material from the deflection of the grate elements the cooling mold is pushed out from the inside out. The cooled work piece then falls into the Funnel 11 and then arrives in a bunker or for loading.
If the cooling of the work item is accelerated by direct wetting with a cooling liquid is, this cooling liquid can through several nozzles 12 on the cooling molds be injected. The excess cooling liquid is expediently collected in a trough, which is arranged below the belt. The effect of the cooling liquid can also be seen reinforce by not completely filling the molds, as shown in Fig. 3. In such a Trap remains in the cooling molds a free space that can be filled with the cooling liquid.
From Fig. 5 a device can be seen in which the grate elements form a circular cylinder or are joined together to form a cylindrical drum 13. This drum moves one horizontal axis. The material to be worked is poured into the drum 13 through the exhaust device 14. A cylindrical base plate 15 is again arranged below the pouring point in order to to prevent the work material from flowing out of the grate prematurely. Through the injectors 16 In turn, a cooling liquid can be sprayed onto the work item or the grate elements.
In the present exemplary embodiment, the cooling grate drum moves inside the cylindrical one Housing 17 which is filled with a cooling liquid. By the rotation of the drum The grate elements are submerged one after the other in the cooling liquid, which increases the cooling time the air cooling is further shortened considerably. After emerging from the Liquid bath, the grate elements are emptied by the spiked roller 18, with the cooled work material falls via the chute 19 into a bunker or is loaded.
A third embodiment is shown in Figs. 6 and 7, Fig. 7 showing the plan which Fig. 6 represents. Here are the various grate elements 20 to form a horizontal circular ring arranged, which rotates about a vertical axis. Through the outlet device 21 is the liquid Work goods poured into the cooling grids, which, as already noted, rotate slowly around perform a horizontal axis. There is again a base plate below the pouring point 22, which prevents the work item from running out of the cooling molds prematurely.
After completing one revolution, the cooling molds are immediately in front of the discharge device 21 emptied by a spiked roller 23.
Of course, with this device, the cooling process can also be achieved by spraying the Cooling forms can be accelerated or shortened with a cooling liquid.
