Die bekannten Knopflochscheeren leiden alle an dem Nachtheil .einer unvollkommenen Stellvorrichtung, da diese sich während des Gebrauches leicht verstellt, bald abnutzt und so schwer auszubessern ist, dafs meistens durch die Kosten dafür der Werth der ganzen Scheere überstiegen wird. Zur Beseitigung dieser Uebelstände besteht bei der neuen, in Fig. 1 bis 4 dargestellten Knopflochscheere die Stellvorrichtung einfach aus einer Schraube B (Fig. 3), welche in dem einen geschlitzten Schenkel A der Scheere verschiebbar ist. Diese Schraube besitzt eine birnenförmige Mutter b, führt sich im Schlitz a des Schenkels A (Fig. 2) mittelst ihres kantigen Bolzentheiles b^l undrehbar und legt sich mit ihrem Kopf b² aufsen gegen den Schenkel A an. Schenkel A ist auf der Innenseite mit Riffeln oder Zähnen versehen, in welche die Mutter b nach erfolgtem Anziehen eingreift, sich dadurch an beliebiger Stelle des Schenkels A feststellt und somit ein verschieden weites Schliefsen der Scheerenblätter gestattet (s. z. Ebenso läfst sich nach Lösen der Mutter b die ganze Schraube B (nach eventuell erfolgter Abnutzung derselben) leicht aus der Scheere herausnehmen und beliebig oft durch eine neue derartige, käuflich gehaltene Schraube ersetzen, ohne an der Scheere selbst irgend welche Reparaturen vornehmen zu müssen.According to the foregoing, the screw B cannot be adjusted while the scissors are in use and therefore cannot allow the cutting of uneven buttonholes.
