Description
Cover belt for incline conveyors It is well known that conveyor belts are used to to enable steep pumping at an incline angle of more than 200, with so-called shrouds. The conveyed material is between the high-conveying Strand of the conveyor belt and the strand moving at the same speed of the shroud. In order to ensure that the conveyed goods can be taken away safely, you have the shroud with rollers loaded by springs or weights against the Well pressed. It has also become known for the same purpose on the bottom of the shroud transversely to the conveying direction to attach weighting strips and to cover them with cloth bags that are attached to the cover tape.
Here, however, the transverse strips prevent the shroud completely clings to the material to be conveyed. As a result, the transport of the goods is at Inadequate steep conveyance, and it is particularly prevalent at high conveying speeds the risk of material leaking laterally between the shroud and the conveyor belt. Furthermore, it has become known to design the shroud as a heavy chain mat, which is driven by a special drive belt. Such a mat is true in itself able to completely cling to the conveyed goods, but there is As practice has shown, there is a risk that the chain mat will be perpendicular to the conveying direction pulls together so that it forms a narrow strand, i.e. only on a fraction the width of the conveyor belt rests on the goods to be conveyed. To do this too impede, If you could pull elastic cross bars into the chain mat, this would but in turn impaired the flexibility transversely to the conveying direction. The chain mat is also disadvantageous because the chain links a relatively large amount of wear are subject. According to the invention, the disadvantages outlined are associated with a shroud for inclined conveyors, the weighting means coated on the side lying on top has, thereby avoided that the casings by spaced apart extending rubber longitudinal ribs are formed into which the weighting means vulcanized will. Round link chains pushed together can be vulcanized into the longitudinal ribs will. The longitudinal ribs of the shroud can, however, also have metal balls in a row contain. The strands are preferably given wedge-shaped cross-sections so that they penetrate the conveyed goods more easily and the transport of the goods is even more effective is.
It is known per se a conveyor belt, on the underside of which Edge strips are located in which stranded wire ropes are embedded. Form here the longitudinal rubber ribs, however, have lug-like runners to support the conveyor belt the support rollers and for guiding the belt in the reversing rollers.
However, the stranded wire ropes do not serve as a weighting means for a cover tape.
It is also known per se to have the running side of a conveyor belt to provide several side by side wedge longitudinal ribs. It is the same Embed a round link chain in a wedge longitudinal rib or several chains in known the tape itself.
The drawing shows two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention shown, namely Fig. I and 3 show cross sections through part of the shroud according to one of the two exemplary embodiments, FIGS. 2 and 4, sections along the lines II-II resp.
IV-IV in Fig. I bzw. I or 3 and Fig. 5 shows a cross section on a smaller scale by a conveyor belt with a shroud.
In both exemplary embodiments, there are several on the shroud I endless longitudinal ribs 2 vulcanized, made of rubber or a similar elastic Consist of substance. The ribs 2 extend at a distance from one another and have either unrelated to each other except by the shroud, or they are Interconnected by cross bars made of rubber or the like. The cross section of the ribs 2 has a symmetrical, trapezoidal shape with bevels in the upper Part of the trapezoid result in a stronger taper. As Fig. 5 shows, lies the shroud I on the conveyed material, which is on the trough-shaped conveyor belt 10 is located. The shroud is pressed against by the weighting means the good achieved, whereby an effective removal of the good even with steep conveyance is achieved. This effect is increased by the fact that the ribs 2 in the Penetrate conveyed goods, which is facilitated by their wedge-shaped profile.
According to Fig. I and 2 2 round link chains 3 are vulcanized into the longitudinal ribs, each chain link being enclosed on all sides by the rubber. The chains will vulcanized in when pushed together so that between the chain links 3 there is play s in the direction of movement. This can cause the chains Length on the pulley.
According to Fig. 3 and 4, the longitudinal ribs 2 are hollow, and in the cavity 4 tightly lined up metal balls 5 are introduced. Through a Filler 6 made of rubber or the like, the balls 5 are held within the ribs 2. The balls and filler can be made simultaneously with that by injection Production of the ribs 2 are introduced into their cavities 4.
However, this can also only take place later after the ribs 2 have been completed.
