Die freien, aber gegeneinander isolierten Enden der Schenkel, die in geringem, jedoch Stromüberschläge ausschließendem Abstand parallel zueinander angeordnet sind, sind in einem mit Anschlüssen für die Stromzu- bzw. -abführung versehenen Kontaktkopf gelagert. Dieser ist aus zwei in der Ebene etwa senkrecht zur Ebene durch die beiden Schenkel längsgeteilten und gegeneinander isolierten Hälften gebildet. Beide freien Enden der massiven Schenkel sind leicht lösbar in einen kammerförmig ausgebildeten Kontaktkopf eingeklemmt, der den als Einsteckenden ausgebildeten Schenkelenden angepaßt ist. Beide Hälften des Kontaktkopfes sind durch Kupplungselemente zusammengehalten, wobei der Kontaktandruck durch eine die Kupplungselemente belastende Feder erzeugt wird. Diese bekannten Vorschläge sind daher durchweg mit dem Mangel behaftet, daß den haarnadelförmig ausgebildeten Widerstandselementen aus Graphit oder Kohle ein solcher Vorteil fehlt, wie er sich aus dem gespaltenen Kontaktkopf ergibt, dessen beide Hälften die Enden des Heizwiderstandes mittels federbelasteter Kupplungselemente festklemmen.
