Die Klinken c c machen demnach abwechselnd eine auf- und niedergehende Bewegung und, wie sich bei näherer Betrachtung ergiebt, entspricht eine derselben dem Vorwärts-, die andere dem Rücklauf des Dampfkolbens. Die gezeichnete Stellung ist die mittlere, das Ventil ist geschlossen und der Schieber ebenfalls.
