Description
B. Musik oder Sprache, die Lautsprecheranord-When reproducing acoustic performances in large rooms, the auditory impression is caused by reverberation influenced to a more or less favorable extent. Practice shows that for different species Performances have a very specific reverberation value in order to achieve an optimal auditory impression is required; this should be as small as possible for speech reproduction, otherwise intelligibility suffers; for chamber music, however, a larger value is allowed, and for large orchestral music it may be a larger value Reverberation desired. So far, adjustable ones have been used in the recording and playback rooms Arrangements for room damping, e.g. B. in the form of backdrop-like walls or flaps, with the help of which the reverberation is changed can be. In other known methods, artificial reverberation is generated, e.g. Am Reverberation chambers or with the help of electrical or acoustic delay elements. In all of these In some cases, the effort is considerable and success is not even guaranteed. It's already suggested been, on a microphone group for setting different reverberation values switching means provide that make it possible to switch individual microphone systems on and off. The invention In contrast, it is based on an electroacoustic transmission system with a loudspeaker arrangement in a playback room consisting of several in the manner of the straight radiator group consists of individual speakers lying in a row. According to the invention in a such system at different performances, e.g. B. Music or speech, the loudspeaker arrangement

In a particularly useful embodiment of the invention are in the playback room several such optionally switchable directional speakers with directional characteristics of different Sharpness and / or different direction provided.
The directional loudspeaker arrangements used, ίο which consist of several according to the type of straight radiator group exist in a preferably vertically positioned row of individual speakers has already been proposed in itself. In a further embodiment of the invention are these loudspeaker arrangements constructed in the manner of the straight radiator group in place of the electrical switching can be changed mechanically so that directional characteristics are different Sharpness and / or different direction arise; this happens e.g. B. by flipping. Share, tilt the baffles or the like. It should also be mentioned that adjustable loudspeaker arrangements are known per se.
The invention and related details are explained with reference to Figs. 1 to 6, for example.
In Abb. In Fig. Ι the longitudinal section of a playback room is shown in which there is a loudspeaker system constructed according to the invention. This consists of a loudspeaker arrangement L 1 with several, z. B. six individual speakers in a vertical row on a narrow, long baffle, which are all connected in phase and fed from the same channel; According to the principle of group directivity, they result in a sharp focus of sound perpendicular to the plane of the baffle, represented by the club-shaped directional characteristic R 1 , which is inclined towards the listening surface. The listeners are only detected by direct sound, as the influence of reflective walls, e.g. B. the ceiling, is turned off. As a result, the reverberation impression is almost completely suppressed. In the room there is also the loudspeaker arrangement L 2 , which is constructed and works analogously, but only z. B. has three individual speakers. Your directional characteristic i? 2 therefore has a lower sharpness and also radiates on the rear wall. In the room there is also the single-speaker speaker L 3 with the directional characteristic i? On a baffle. 3 in the shape of an eight. The sound of the latter is thrown against all the walls of the room, so that the maximum reverberation of the room is effective. The further loudspeaker arrangement L 4 with the directional characteristic R i is set up in such a way that it radiates essentially against the ceiling; consequently the listeners receive the sound from this only indirectly. The audio frequency currents coming from the microphone M , after amplification in the amplifier V via the switch U, are optionally sent to the loudspeaker arrangements L 1 . . . L 4 placed, in such a way that, depending on the desired reverberation impression, the arrangement is switched on with the appropriate focus; however, different loudspeaker arrangements can optionally also be switched on together if necessary. The directivity of each loudspeaker arrangement creates different reflection ratios and thus different reverberation values. For language z. B. only the most sharply directed loudspeaker arrangement L 1 is switched on, for chamber music the loudspeaker arrangement L 2 , possibly together with L 1 . With orchestral music it becomes the. Individual loudspeakers L 3 that fill the entire room are switched on, possibly together with L 1 and / or L 2 . If an even greater reverberation is required, the indirectly acting loudspeaker arrangement L 4 is also switched on.
It is possible with the loudspeaker systems to use unidirectional loudspeakers, e.g. B. by using transit time elements in the form of a pack made of damping material (felt or Cotton wool) on the back of the membrane. In the case of the loudspeaker groups, it is also possible to the individual loudspeakers to create different directional characteristics for different directional systems to be used together and to be combined in groups when switching. For example can be achieved with a group of radiators consisting of a large number of individual speakers produce a very sharp directivity when all are switched on; the sharpness becomes gradual reduced if the individual speakers are switched off one after the other.
Bei allen Anordnungen kann auchInstead of the electrical switching, a mechanical change in the loudspeaker system or the loudspeaker arrangements can be made, e.g. B. by moving the speakers to another location or changing their direction. Arrangements of this type are explained using FIGS. 2 to 6. In Fig. 2 a slat-like baffle with six individual speakers is divided in the middle. The two halves 1 and 2 can be folded over around the hinge 3; When opened, all loudspeakers are in a row and produce a directional characteristic with great sharpness. After folding up, the edges 4 and 5 lie against one another, so that two parallel rows of three individual loudspeakers no are created. The sharpness of the directional characteristic is then less. In Fig. 3 is a row of speakers, z. B. about the central pivot point A, rotatably mounted. This allows the directional characteristic to be placed anywhere in the room, so that different reflection ratios result in each case. In Fig. 4, the reverberation ratios are influenced by adjusting the inclination of the loudspeaker row; For this purpose, the baffle is attached via a hinge 6 or the like. In the arrangement according to Fig. 5, the baffle can be pivoted about the axis 7 up and down. In Fig. 6 the two halves 8 and 9 of a loudspeaker row can be pivoted up and down independently of one another around the hinge 10. With all arrangements can also
eine seitliche Schwenkbarkeit vorgesehen sein, gegebenenfalls eine solche nach allen Richtungen nach Art eines Kardangelenkes.a lateral pivotability can be provided, possibly in all directions in the manner of a universal joint.
The electrical or mechanical change in the directional characteristics can also be from a central Place to be made, z. B. by remote control. The adjustment device is for example arranged by the sound engineer or the orchestra conductor, who controls the reverberation ίο can also change during a piece of music. Incidentally, it is also a stepless change the reverberation conditions possible, e.g. B. by a control element in the manner of a potentiometer.
