Der Falz besteht aus zwei . gleich langen Streifen B und C aus Papier oder einem Gewebe, welche Rücken gegen Rücken längs ihrer Längsachse bei A durch Zusammennähen oder in anderer Weise mit einander verbunden sind. C, er- _ weicht und dieser Streifen zur Hälfte auf dem einen Blatte, zur Hälfte auf dem anderen Blatte des aufgeschlagenen Buches, und zwar an dem Befestigungspunkt der Blätter aufgeklebt. Nun wird der Gummi auf dem anderen Streifen B erweicht und beide Theile desselben gegen das einzuklebende Blatt gebogen, welches sie von beiden Seiten erfassen und an seiner Stelle festhalten, indem sie mittels des Gummis auf beiden Seiten haften bleiben. Das Blatt ist so an der gewünschten Stelle in dem Buch befestigt und kann, ebenso wie die andern Blätter um ihren Befestigungspunkt, um die Verbindungslinie der beiden Streifen B und C gedreht werden.The fold consists of two. strips B and C of the same length made of paper or a fabric, which are connected back to back along their longitudinal axis at A by sewing together or in some other way.
