Die Erfindung betrifft eine weitere Ausbildung des Verfahrens zur Herstellung von Schlackenwolle nach Patent 936 853, bei dem das Zerstäubungsmittel auf einen senkrecht fallenden Gießstrahl in Form von zwei breiten, ebenen Bändern an beiden Seiten des Gießstrahls zur Einwirkung gebracht wird. Für die einwandfreie Wirkung des angegebenen Verfahrens ist es wichtig, daß die Zerstäubungsbänder immer in der angegebene« Weise auf die beiden Seiten des Schlackenstrahls einwirken. Da die Dicke des Strahls sich ändern kann, wird erftndungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, die Bänder durch Drehung der Zerstäubungsdüsenschlitze um eine senkrechte Achse statt parallel winklig zueinander an die Seiten des Gießstrahls heranzuführen. Auf diese Weise wird mit Sicherheit das Eintreten einer Sogwirkung erreicht und eine perlenbildende Beaufschlagung des Strahls ausgeschaltet.The invention relates to a further embodiment of the method for producing slag wool according to patent 936 853, in which the atomizing agent is applied to a pouring stream falling vertically in the form of two wide, flat bands on both sides of the pouring stream for action is brought.
