Compensation tank for electrical oil cable systems Electrical oil cable systems
in the previously customary embodiment have the disadvantage that the compensation vessels
often undesirably large dimensions have to be obtained, despite all the other advantages
of the oil cables complicate or restrict their use. Subject of the invention
is an expansion tank for electrical oil cable systems depending on the operating status
.of the cable with changeable pressure, which avoids the mentioned disadvantage. The invention
consists in the fact that the compensation tank with a controllable, preferably automatic
depending on the operating status of the cable-controlled heating system,
the opposite of the temperature curve in the cable is the temperature in the expansion tank
changes and thereby effects a pressure equalization in the system. It is in itself already
known, depending on the operating state working control devices for
To influence the oil filling of oil-filled cables. The known control devices
of this type, however, are neither intended nor suitable for the purposes of the invention
the volume of the oil in the expansion tank is the opposite of that in the cable
Hefindliche.n oil to change due to temperature fluctuations and thus a reduction
the size of the equalizing vessels.

In the drawing the invention is on. Hand of an embodiment explained. It means i the equalizing tank of an oil cable system, a are the air or gas cells arranged in the usual way inside the tank, 3 is the oil line to the out: equalizing tank, which is provided with a pressure gauge 4.. With 5 according to the invention in the expansion tank angeordineteelectric heater is referred to, the z. B. expediently be connected to the nearest network; can. 6 is a directly from the pressure gauge q. controlled switch which switches the heater 5 on and off depending on the pressure in the line 3 and thereby controls the temperature in the compensation tank. If the temperature and the pressure in the cable and thus also in the line 3 rise to a certain level as a result of greater stress on the cable, the heater 5 is switched off by the switch 6. Because the temperature in the expansion tank is now lowering, it can absorb oil from the cable due to the contraction of its oil content, without an increase in pressure and volume and without the need for a large container with many air or gas cells to equalize the pressure. If the temperature and the pressure in the cable drop, the pressure equalization takes place in the opposite direction as a result of the heating of the expansion tank that now begins. Because the pressure equalization in the arrangement according to the invention takes place at least to a significant extent with the total oil volume remaining the same, one can manage with much smaller equalizing tanks than before, and the entire oil cable system becomes considerably less extensive.
The control of the heating device of the expansion tank can, too
can be derived from other operating variables of the system, which are a measure of the pressure
represent in the cable. In particular, the heater can also be used directly with advantage

Current or power measuring device take place when the, current or the increase
Power in the cable reduces or trains the heating and vice versa when it falls
of the current or power switches the heating on or amplifies it. The temperature too
in the cable can, if necessary, be used directly to control the heating.
