B. Kupplungen,
notwendig.1 # s are known to have sirens that are present at the start and stop
Changing the pitch of the tone produced is avoided by the fact that the
full speed rotating rotor in the fixed stator for the purpose of sound generation
mechanically introduced and withdrawn again for decommissioning. Such arrangements
however, they are relatively complex mechanically and for light sirens like them on
Vehicles that are used are poorly suited. In particular, the need makes
arrangements involved in the displacement of the rotating rotor, e.g. B. Couplings,
necessary.
The present invention relates to a siren in which the
gradual change in the pitch of the generated tone when switching on and off
is avoided and in which this problem is solved with simple mechanical means
will. A simple device for use on vehicles is thus made possible.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the stator is at rest
can be pushed over the rotating rotor with the help of a Bowden cable.

B.In Fig. A i is the rotor of the siren, which runs over a V-belt pulley
: 2 is driven by a motor not shown. The casing 3 of the siren
is formed by a shaped piece that is held together with three bolts 4 and
in which the standing wave 5 is located; the two bearings 6 are at the ends
the rotor bushing. The stator 7 lies. between the three spacer bolts q. and can,
guided by the bolts 4, in the space between the end faces of the housing 3 below
Action of the Bowden cable 8 can be moved back and forth. The Bowden cable 8 is from
suitable place to operate from button 9. The mode of operation of the arrangement is
the following: The. The siren's rotor r is via the V-belt drive through the pulley
a set in rotation by a motor, the stator 7 is continuous by the Bowden cable 8
kept out of the range of action of the air thrown off by the rotor i. A tone generation
therefore does not take place. - By moving button 9 upwards, the Bowden cable pushes
the stator 7, on the bolts q. sliding, .over the rotor i into the one shown in Fig. C.
Operating situation. now the air flow caused by the rotor i hits the
Series of openings in the stator 7, producing a sound. Switching off the sound generation
takes place in a similar manner by pulling off the stator 7 via button 9 and Bowden cable
