It is already known that a double line short-circuited at its end, as indicated by io in Fig 2 c generated at the start of the line when a current pulse as shown in Fig. 2 a is fed to the input terminals. With this method, the duration a of the pulse given to the input is longer than twice the transit time 2 -e of the double line io. These relationships are shown in Figs. 2 a to 2 c. In Fig. 2 a the fed-in pulse is shown, in Fig. 2 b the pulse reflected from the short-circuited end and time- shifted around the time 219 at the input of the line, while Fig. 2 c shows the sum of the two pulses, i.e. the one actually on Represents the voltage curve occurring at the input of the line. As can be seen in Fig. 2 c, the time between the fronts of two pulses of different polarity in the known arrangement depends only on the length of the pulse fed in, but not on the transit time of the double line.

According to the invention are intended to produce rectangular pulses

The mode of operation of an embodiment of the invention is illustrated
Fig. 3 explained, the corresponding circuit is shown in Fig.4.
am Eingang der Doppelleitung der erfindungsgemäßen Anordnung auftretende Spannungsverlauf;
Fig. 3 a shows the time course of the injected pulse,
in Fig. 3 b the time course of the pulse reflected at the end of the line, such as
it occurs at the line inlet, similar to that shown in Figures 2a and 2b. Of the
voltage curve occurring at the input of the double line of the arrangement according to the invention;
d. H. the sum of the injected and reflected pulses appearing at the input,
is shown in Fig. 3c. It can be seen from Figs. 3 a to 3 c that the invention
Arrangement the time span between the fronts of two impulses of different
Polarity equal to twice the running time of the line and completely independent of the
Pulse duration, c is. However, the prerequisite for the effective function is that
the pulse duration v is not greater than twice the transit time 292 of the double line.
An embodiment of an arrangement according to the invention for manufacturing
of rectangular pulses of alternating polarity and the same duration is shown in Fig. 4
shown. In the anode circuit of a tube 13 is a double line or also
a line replica 15, which is short-circuited at its end, switched on.
In parallel with the input 14 of the double line 15 there is an impedance -i6, the size of which
equal to the wave resistance of the double line 15 is selected. On the grid of the
Tube 13, as shown schematically in Fig. 4, is given a pulse. An impulse
same duration appears at the input terminals 14 of the double line 15. This
The pulse initially runs to the end of the double line 15 on the short-circuit side and becomes
reflected there with a phase shift of 180 °, i.e. appears at the input terminals
14 or at the resistor 16 as a negative pulse if the fed into the double line
Impulse is positive. The starting product, namely two rectangular pulses of different
Polarity and the same duration, as shown in Fig. 3c, can be of the
Terminals 14 can be removed.
einmal wiederholt. The circuit arrangement described thus offers a simple way of
on a given pulse of a given polarity in one through the line length
to allow a new pulse of the opposite polarity to follow at a freely selectable distance,
and it is also possible to change the polarity of the second pulse with the help of a full wave rectifier
rectify, so that the circuit in question then receives a pulse supplied to it
repeated once.
