Mobilfunk-SteckverbinderDescription
Mobile connectors
The invention relates to a mobile radio connector for connecting a small handset (mobile phone) to a system of connecting devices, with an LF, an HF and a power supply part intended for the transmission of several different signals.
So sind insbesondere für die Kontaktierung vom Handy zum Kfz-Einschub ("cradle") bereits einschiebende Stecker und stirnseitig kontaktierende Stecker bekannt .Today's mobile radio systems consist of a small handheld device, called a cell phone, and a system of various connecting devices. The large number of these connecting devices results from the different possible uses, for example travel chargers, car quick chargers and portable hands-free devices, which these devices offer. In addition to the necessary power supply and voice transmission from and to the cell phone, services such as data or fax transmission are provided. The connectors that meet these requirements currently consist of an NF, an HF and a power supply part. There are different connector principles, but they are all based on a contacting system. For example, push-in connectors and front-contacting connectors are already known, especially for contacting the cell phone to the vehicle slot ("cradle").
In all known mobile radio connectors, the various NF data transmission paths are implemented using electromechanical connections arranged in rows next to one another. A connector structure of this type requires a considerable amount of space. However, with today's miniaturization of mobile radio systems, the connectors are increasingly subject to corresponding requirements.

stellt, denn je kleiner der Steckverbinder ist, desto attraktiver ist dieses Bauteil für die Mobiltelefonhersteller.because the smaller the connector, the more attractive this component is for mobile phone manufacturers.
The present invention is therefore based on the object of creating an improved mobile radio connector, which is characterized in particular by a reduced space requirement.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that at least part of the NF signal transmission is carried out serially and contactlessly by means of transmitting and receiving elements integrated in the two connector components.
Weiterbildungen der Erfindung sind Gegenstand von Unteran-Sprüchen. Further developments of the invention are the subject of subclaims.
In the following, the invention is explained in more detail using two exemplary embodiments and the figure of the drawing, which schematically shows a connector according to the invention.
Die kontaktlose Datenübertragung kann jedoch ohne weiteres auch durch ein anderes bekanntes MediumThe figure shows a mobile phone connector component 1 and, as a counterpart, a cable connector component 2. The known power and ground contacts 3 and 4 are also indicated. A known infrared receiver (5), for example an infrared diode, is provided in the connector component 1 as the receiving element for the contactless LF signal transmission. The serial and contactless LF signal transmission takes place through the interaction of the infrared receiver 5 with an infrared transmitter 6 integrated in the connector component 2, which is preferably also designed as an infrared diode. It is advantageous to use diffusely emitting infrared diodes, since then a precise alignment of the transmitter and receiver is not necessary. However, the contactless data transmission can also easily be carried out using another known medium.

erfolgen. The serial processing of the data is preferably carried out by an ASIC component integrated in the connector.
According to the invention, an advantageously smaller connector is therefore the result, since a majority, in particular all, of the previously arranged NF connections are replaced by a single transmitter/receiver pair. Another advantage of contactless transmission that should not be underestimated in practice is that, even with a thousand or more plug-in cycles, no abrasion of the contacts can occur.
Empfangsdiode zusammenwirken. The figure also shows a conventional, non-contactless HF transmission 7. However, it is also possible for this HF signal transmission to be contactless, with the transmission of the HF signals converted electronically in a known manner (for example by means of another ASIC module) into LF signals being carried out by at least two contactless LF signal paths, each implemented by a transmitting 6 and a receiving element 5. It is advantageous to provide an electronic division of the ^/LF signals so that the LF signal transmission also takes place by means of one of the LF signal paths set up for the HF signals. It is again advantageous to arrange an infrared transmitting diode and, next to it, a receiving diode in the connector component 1, which interact with a transmitting or receiving diode arranged next to one another in the connector component 2.
