Device for flat advertising media

The invention relates to a device consisting of several plates to which flat advertising media are attached or can be attached.

Such devices are known in the form of billboards. While a smaller poster can be attached to a panel that can be put up, as is the case with small election posters, large-format posters must be attached to correspondingly large devices that can consist of several panels so that they can be dismantled after use and easily transported.

The disadvantage of such large-format billboards is that they are difficult to dismantle, since the panels are connected to one another in a complicated way. This dismantling is not possible without special tools. Another disadvantage of these large-format billboards is that they are in a fixed location. This location cannot be adapted to changing circumstances, for example if

a larger gathering of people, the crowd moves to another location or becomes interested in events at another location.

The object of the invention is to create a device as mentioned above which is versatile and simple in design, can be easily assembled and disassembled without tools and can be adapted to changing circumstances by changing the location. The device should also be easy to transport when disassembled.

The solution according to the invention consists in the device having a lower U-profile rail that is open at the top and to which at least two cross beams are attached at the bottom, at the ends of which rollers are attached on the underside, with the panels being inserted into the U-profile rail, and an upper U-profile rail that is open at the bottom and is placed on the upper edge of the panels.

The device is characterized by the fact that it rests on rollers, i.e. it can be moved. It can therefore be moved to another location both when used indoors and outdoors, or it can be turned in a different direction at the same location. The panels to which the advertising media are attached or are to be attached are inserted into the lower U-profile rail that is open at the top, whereby a U-profile rail placed on top of the panels combines the panels into a uniform, flat structure. When we talk about U-profile rails here, the rails or other elongated elements into which the panels are inserted or pushed could of course also have a different profile, as long as they have a groove into which the lower and upper edges of the panels can be inserted.

In order to ensure that the entirety of the panels, which are held together by the U-profile rails, are particularly stable and stand firmly on the crossbeams, in an advantageous embodiment the outer side edges of the panels are braced to the crossbeams with tension wires. In this way, a particularly stable structure is obtained.

The device can be easily disassembled by removing the upper U-profile rail, taking out the plates (they are then much smaller than the entire device and are therefore easy to transport) and the profile rails and the plates can then be transported separately.

In a practical embodiment, bolts are inserted into the lower profile rails that protrude upwards into the panels and/or bolts are inserted into the upper profile rails that protrude downwards into the panels, which increases stability. The bolts can be prevented from falling out by springs or the like or they can possibly be screwed in, which can usually be done by hand.

It is advisable for at least some of the castors to be swivel castors. It is also advisable for at least some of the castors to have locking devices, which is particularly important on uneven terrain or when used outdoors in windy conditions.

The tensioning elements can be standard shroud tensioners, as found on sailing boats.

The U-profile rails are conveniently made of aluminum, which makes the device relatively light.

The panels can have an aluminum frame, making them very stable. Waterproof or impregnated plywood panels can then be attached to the aluminum frame, on which

Posters and/or three-dimensional advertising installations can be glued on.

Since the panels can be relatively large, they are conveniently provided with internal bracing.

A particularly advantageous embodiment is characterized by the fact that it has three cross beams with rollers. In particular, three plates can be provided. However, it is also possible to make the devices larger by providing four or more plates. On large elements, which may require a larger transport vehicle, only the longer profile rails need to be transported.

In a further advantageous embodiment, handles are arranged on the outer edges of the plates so that the devices can be easily transported to another location.

The device is particularly suitable for so-called 18/1 posters, which have a height of 2.60 m and a width of 3.60 m or for posters with similar dimensions. For this purpose, the panels have a height of approximately 2.60 m and a width of approximately 1.20 m, with three panels being provided.

A very important advantage of the invention is that the flat structure has no struts on the back, as is normally the case with billboards of this size. The device is instead held sufficiently stable by the tension wires. A very important advantage of the invention is therefore that the device can be stuck on both sides with advertising media, i.e. in this case especially large posters.

The invention is described below using an advantageous embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawings. They show:

As shown in the figures, the device of the invention has a lower, upwardly open U-profile rail 1, to the underside of which three crossbeams 2 are attached, to each of which a roller 3 is attached at the bottom at the outer ends, whereby these rollers are at least partially swivel rollers and at least partially provided with locking devices. Plates 4 are inserted into the profile rail 1, on the upper edge of which a downwardly open U-profile rail 5 is placed in order to make the structure consisting of three plates stable. With the help of tension wires 6, on which shroud tensioners 7 are also arranged, the two lateral outer edges of the device are braced with the outer crossbeams 2. Handles 8 are arranged at a comfortable height, in particular approximately 1.10 m, with which the device can be moved.

Claims (15)

Protection claims 1. Device consisting of several plates on which flat advertising media are attached or can be attached, characterized in that they have a lower U-profile rail (1) which is open at the top and to which at least two cross members (2) are attached at the bottom, at the ends of which rollers (3) are attached on the underside, the panels being inserted into the U-profile rail (1), and an upper U-profile rail (5) which is open at the bottom and is placed on the upper edge of the panels (4). 2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that it has tension wires (6) with tensioning elements (7) with which the plates (4) are tensioned at their outer lateral edges to the cross members (2). 3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that bolts are inserted into the lower profile rail (1) and/or the upper profile rail (5), which are aligned vertically and protrude into the plates (4). 4. Device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the rollers (3) are at least partly swivel rollers. 5. Device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the rollers (3) at least partially have locking devices. 6. Device according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the tensioning elements (7) are shroud tensioners. 7. Device according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the U-profile rails (1, 5) are made of aluminium. 8. Device according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the plates (4) have an aluminum frame. 9. Device according to claim 8, characterized in that waterproof or impregnated plywood panels are attached to the aluminum frame. 10.
