Der Randbereich des Deckelteils verschließt dabei den Spalt nicht, sondern verhindert lediglich die Sicht auf das Doseninnere. Nach wie vor können daher der Duftstoff des Köders aus dem Doseninneren austreten und das Ungeziefer in das Doseninnere hineinkrabbeln.
