II. Description

State of the art: Shelves of a conventional design are usually designed so that flat objects are lined up parallel next to each other or stacked on top of each other according to their shape. The type of storage described here is very space-intensive. Due to the requirement for such a shelf to accommodate a large number of individual objects, it extends enormously in a horizontal or vertical orientation. In the latter case, the arrangement often ranges from the knee height to the height of the plant pot of the person operating it. Furthermore, these shelves are usually designed for static reasons so that they have continuous sides and/or back parts and therefore cannot be changed in height or width. This means, among other things, that they are intended for a specific, usually large number of flat objects.

Furthermore, flat objects are difficult to distinguish from one another due to their narrow backs, so that finding a specific object takes effort and time. A significant advantage of the rotating shelf is that, in addition to the back, a sufficiently large section of the front of the flat object is visible, thus significantly reducing the time required to find a specific flat object.

Another advantage is that each individual shelf level can be rotated independently, and if necessary, the possibility of expansion by adding one or more shelves. Rotating shelves are well known, which have a certain number of shelves on a continuous axis.

Claims (5)

I. Protection claims 1. Rotating tiered rack primarily for holding flat sound carriers, such as CDs, compact cassettes and other cassette-like items, characterized by that it is expandable, i.e. according to the modular system, each individual shelf level, consisting of base, axle, etc., can be added as an independent construction unit to the lowest shelf level or the top shelf level. The individual shelves (Fig. 2) are mounted so that they can rotate around an axle or a plug-in axle. 2. Rotating shelf according to claim 1, characterized in that the individual shelves can be vertically extended by a plug-in connection. 3. Rotating tiered shelf according to claim 1 and characterized in that each shelf level is rotatably mounted independently of other shelf levels on the fixed axis (2) or the respective plug-in axis (3). 4.
