Alle Befestigungsarten erlauben es, die zugrunde liegende Tafel rotationsfähig auszuführen. Des weiteren lassen sich mit allen Ausführungen durch entsprechende Randausbildung der Platte aus Einzeltafeln schnell und leicht in der Modulbauweise Großtafeln kombinieren. Dies hat einerseits produktionstechnische Vorteile man muß im Grunde nur ein Grundplattenmaß fertigen und erzielt somit sehr schnell die Kostenvorteile großer Losgrößen; andererseits kommt es dem Künstler sehr entgegen, der auch auf großen bis sehr großen Formaten arbeitet und sich bislang mit Behelfskonstruktionen begnügen mußte, da die herkömmliche Staffelei für solche Formate keinerlei praktischen Nutzen aufweist. Die Tafelstaffelei ist also auch die Staffelei für Großformate, ohne dabei - auf Grund der Modulbauweise - selbst zum Transport- und Handhabungsproblem werden zu müssen. Insbesondere im Objektbereich, d. h. bei der Herstellung des Gemäldes am Ort seiner Bestimmung, dient die Tafelstaffelei vorzüglich als leicht transportables und handhabbares 'Arbeitsgerüst'.
