Description

The invention relates to a cosmetic case with a hinged lid and a mirror attached to the inside.

It is common to have a mirror on the inside of the lid of cosmetic cases, jewelry boxes, etc. This mirror can either be loosely inserted into a round (ruffled) pocket or held in place in the lid using rubber or ruffled bands or plastic parts. Sometimes the mirror is simply glued into the lid.

There are also known solutions in which the mirror is connected to the lid via a hinge or a ball joint.

What all known solutions have in common is that the mirror cannot be swung out in its entirety from the inside of the case lid. This means that the mirror cannot be viewed directly from above or pulled closer to the face without the entire cosmetic case slipping or swinging. However, in confined spaces, e.g. in aircraft cabins for stewardesses or passengers, this is not possible or very difficult if they want to look in the mirror.

The invention is based on the object of designing a cosmetic case of the type described above in such a way that a mirror housed therein can be easily brought into a clearly visible position by the user after opening the case, even in confined spaces.

This task is solved by the fact that the mirror is connected to the inside of the case lid via an articulated arm that can be swung out from the case lid.

Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.

The invention can also be used for other containers, such as jewelry boxes, dressing tables or the like.

The invention is explained in more detail below using schematic drawings of an embodiment. They show:

The cosmetic case shown in the figures has a case packing part 2 and a case lid 4 with an inner edge 6. At the front of this inner edge 6, an articulated arm 15 is pivoted about a pivot axis 14 by 180° via a joint 14. At the free end of the articulated arm, at 13, an articulated fork 16 is pivoted about an axis 17, between the legs of which a mirror 11 is pivoted about an axis 18 at articulation points 12. The axes 17, 18 are perpendicular to one another.

In the pivoted position of the mirror 11 according to the figures

I and 3, the articulated arm 15 is placed on the inside 7 of the case lid 4, and the fork 16 and the mirror 11 are pivoted into the same plane as the articulated arm 15, as can be seen in particular in Fig. 3. The entire mirror arrangement 11, 15, 16 thus takes up only minimal space in the case lid 4.

In the folded-out state according to Figures 2 and 4, the articulated arm 15 is pivoted out of the case lid 4 by 180° so that it protrudes upwards over the edge of the case lid 4, as can best be seen in Figure 4. Articulated fork 16 and mirror

Although the claims are directed to a cosmetic case, it is clear to the expert that the mirror can also be used in other containers.

PATENT CLAIMS 1. Cosmetic case with a hinged lid and a mirror (11) attached to the inside thereof, characterized in that the mirror (11) is connected in an articulated manner to the inside of the lid via an articulated arm (15) that can be swung out of the lid (4). 2.
