Product carrier

The invention relates to a product carrier made of folding material such as cardboard, corrugated cardboard or the like with a sock-shaped foot part in the upright position of use, on which a container part, a chute or the like is arranged, wherein the sock-shaped foot part has a front wall, a rear wall and side walls hinged thereto, which are divided into front and rear wall sections by a longitudinal folding line, and wherein base tabs are hinged to the front wall and the rear wall, via which the foot part can be fastened to a base element.

Such product carriers are known for transporting and presenting a wide variety of goods. In particular, they are used as floor displays. Since the transport volume of the product carrier should be as small as possible, but the goods should be arranged as close to the customer's reach as possible when in the upright position, the foot part is folded flat during transport and arranged between the container part and the floor element. In order to make it easier to set up the product carrier for displaying the goods, the foot part should automatically stand up when the container part is lifted and take on its sock-shaped shape. For this purpose, a known product carrier is designed so that the floor tabs hinged to the underside of the front and rear walls are brought together and glued to the floor element via a fastening tab provided on a floor tab. The two floor tabs are glued to one another via a connecting tab. The base flaps are connected to their respective adhesive sections in an articulated manner, so that the base flaps lie flat on the base element when the foot section is in the upright position, while they lie on top of each other when the foot section is folded up. In the same way, cover flaps are attached to the upper edge of the front and rear walls.

which are glued to the container part. When the product carrier is erected, the side walls and top and bottom flaps of the product carrier, which are placed on top of each other in a 2i-shaped manner, are pulled apart. The front wall and the back wall are pulled away from each other via a coupling flap hinged to the back wall and the chute, and the wall sections of the side walls spread apart automatically, whereby the foot part automatically takes on its sock-shaped shape. By subsequently lowering the container part, it can be placed on the foot part and is held firmly on the side walls. The disadvantage of this design, however, is the high adhesive costs for attaching the foot part to the base element and the container part. In addition, the foot part can only be separated from the base element and the chute with difficulty or not at all, so that if an individual part is damaged, the entire product carrier must be replaced.

DE-A 41 02 082 discloses a product carrier in which inward-facing support walls are hinged to opposite side walls of the base part, whereby diagonally opposite support walls are connected to one another via elastic tension elements. When the product carrier is erected, the support walls are pulled by the tension elements from their position against the side walls into the interior of the base part, so that they support the container part placed on the base part. However, the arrangement of elastic tension elements in the support walls is relatively complex and also contradicts the aim to be pursued with regard to the packaging regulations, namely to achieve single-material packaging.

From DE-A 41 19 3673 a device for fastening a goods carrier to a pallet is also known, whereby recesses are formed in the pallet and

fastening tabs are punched out of the one-piece base section of the goods carrier, which can be inserted into the recesses in the pallet and anchored there. Since the fastening tabs are punched out of the middle of the base section, it must lie flat on the pallet when connected to the pallet. It is therefore not possible to fold the goods carrier up to save space for transport.

The object of the invention is therefore to further develop a goods carrier of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that the foot part, which can be automatically transferred from a folded transport position into an upright use position, can be easily and detachably connected to the base element and/or the container part.

This object is essentially achieved with the invention in that insertion tabs are hinged to the ends of the insulation tabs, which can be inserted into recesses in the floor element and anchored there.

By anchoring the sock-shaped foot part via the floor tabs in the floor element, a secure connection between the foot part and the floor element is achieved without the need for additional gluing. Since the two parts can be connected by simply plugging them together, assembly is made easier and production costs are reduced. In addition, the connection between the foot part and the floor element can be easily removed again, so that the foot part can be easily disposed of after use and the floor element, which is often made as a plastic pallet, can be reused.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a reliable connection between the foot part and the floor element is achieved by at least one insertion tab on the

Floor tabs are divided into a holding section and at least one support section by at least one groove line, and that the support section, after passing through the recess in the floor element, supports itself against the floor element by bending back slightly and can thus be anchored in the floor element.

Preferably, at least one insertion tab is connected to the base tab via at least one extension tab, wherein the insertion tabs, the extension tabs and the base tab are connected to one another via creasing lines. In this case, the extension tab expediently consists of a first and a second section, which are connected to one another via a creasing line, in particular a double creasing line.

In a further development of the invention, the most compact possible shape of the folded foot part is achieved in that two insertion tabs are formed on a first base tab and that an insertion tab is formed on the other, second base tab.

In a preferred development of this inventive concept, the first bottom flap is hinged to the front wall and the second bottom flap is hinged to the rear wall, preferably via a double fold line.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the side walls lying on top of one another when the foot part is folded up are automatically pulled apart when the foot part is erected in that the recesses in the base element are arranged at the corners of a preferably isosceles triangle. As a result, the base flaps of the foot part are attached to the base element at a distance from one another via the insertion flaps, so that the side walls lying on top of one another when the goods carrier is folded up

The floor tabs are pulled apart when the foot section is raised up, and thus the side walls of the foot section are also pulled apart.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, clip-on tabs are provided on a wall of the base part, which can be inserted into corresponding recesses in the chute or the like and anchored there. This also allows the chute to be attached to the base part by means of a plug connection, so that the tool carrier can be put together completely without gluing.

Preferably, the clip-on tabs for connecting the foot section and the chute are provided on the front wall so that the chute does not fall off the foot section if it is accidentally knocked against and the goods fall to the floor.

A secure fastening of the chute to the base part is achieved according to the invention in that the attachment tabs are divided by at least one split line into a holding section and at least one support section, and in that the support section, after passing through the recess in the chute, supports itself against the chute by bending back slightly and can thus be anchored in the chute.

The goods carrier 1 shown in the drawing consists of a sock-shaped base part 2 in the upright position for use, a container part designed, for example, as a chute 3 or the like, and a base element 4. Both the base part 2 and the chute 3 are made of folding material, such as cardboard, corrugated cardboard or the like.

The foot part 2 has a front wall 5, a rear wall 6 and side walls 7, which each connect the front wall 5 and the rear wall 6 to one another and are divided into front and rear wall sections 9, 9' via a longitudinal fold line 8.

Attachment tabs 10 are formed on the upper edge of the front wall 5 and are divided into a holding section 12 and a support section 13 by a groove line 11. The attachment tabs 10 can be inserted into recesses (not shown in detail) in the chute 3 and anchored there so that the chute 3 is reliably attached to the base part 2.

Base tabs 16, 17 are hinged to the underside of the front wall 5 and rear wall 6 via groove lines 14, 15. The base tab 16 hinged to the front wall 5 has two insertion tabs 18, which are divided into a holding section 20 and two support sections 21 via groove lines 19.

The base flap 17, which is hinged to the rear wall 6 via the crease line 15 designed as a double crease line, has an extension section 23 hinged via a crease line 22. The extension section 23 has first and second sections 23', 23'', which are connected to one another via a double crease line 24. The second section 23'' is followed by an insertion flap 25, which is divided into a holding section 27 and a support section 28 via a crease line 26.

As can be seen from Fig. 4, the foot part 2 is made from a one-piece blank 29, with a side wall 7 being glued to the rear wall 6 via a connecting tab 30.

Recesses 31, 32 are formed in the base element 4, into which the insertion tabs 18, 25 of the foot part 2 can be inserted. The base element 4 can be a standard pallet and, as a reusable pallet, can consist predominantly of plastic.

To assemble the product carrier, as shown in Fig. 1, the foot part 2 is anchored in the recesses 31, 32 of the base element 4 via the insertion tabs 18, 25 provided on the base tabs 16, 17. The support sections 21 and 28 of the insertion tabs 18 and 25, which are slightly bent back when passing through the recesses 31, 32, spread out and are supported from below against the base element 4, so that the foot part 2 and the base element 4 are firmly connected to one another.

In the upright position for use (Fig. 2), the base flaps 16, 17 lie flat on the base element 4 and the foot part 2 has the shape of a base. The wall sections 9', 9'' of the side walls 7 are directed slightly inwards so that the chute resting on the foot part 2

3 is reliably supported.

In the folded transport position (Fig. 3), the walls 5, 6, 7 and base flaps 16, 17 of the foot part 2 lie flat on one another and on the base element 4, so that the height of the foot part 2 is determined only by the wall thicknesses of the side walls 5, 6, 7 and base flaps 16, 17. This allows the goods carrier 1 to be transported and stored in a compact form, so that the transport and storage costs are relatively low. The transport volume is reduced by the fact that by folding the extension section 23 and the base flap 17 in a Z shape, the base flaps 16, 17 and the walls 5, 6, 7 of the foot part 2 can be folded onto one another in such a way that they only take up the area of the base element 4.

To raise the goods carrier 1 from the folded transport position, grab the chute 3 and pull it upwards. In doing so, the base tabs 16, 17 anchored in the spaced-apart recesses 31, 32 of the base element 4 are pulled apart and pull the walls 5, 6, 7 of the foot part 2 apart, so that the foot part 2 raises itself upright. After the foot part 2 has been raised upright,

the chute 3 is lowered again and placed on the foot section 2.

When folding the product carrier 1, the process is reversed, whereby the side walls 7 are pressed slightly inwards so that the wall sections 9, 9' of the side walls 7 are placed against one another. The base flap 17 is then folded into a Z shape with the extension section 23 and the base flap 16 and the walls 5, 6, 7 of the foot part are placed on the base flap 17. The double crease lines 15 and 24 ensure that when folding over several material surfaces, the foot part 2 is not overstretched and thus damaged.

The product carrier 1 according to the invention ensures a reliable connection between the base part 2 and the floor element 4 as well as the chute 3, whereby the connection is made by simply inserting it and no additional gluing processes are necessary. The product carrier 1 can be transported and stored in a compact form and can be easily transferred into its upright position for use.

Goods carrier made of folding material such as cardboard, corrugated cardboard or the like with a base part (2) which is in the upright position for use and on which a container part, a chute (3) or the like is arranged, the base part (2) having a front wall (5), a rear wall (6) and side walls (7) hinged thereto, which are divided into front and rear wall sections (9, 9') by a longitudinal folding line (8), and the front wall (5) and the rear wall (6) having base flaps (16, 17) by means of which the base part (2) can be fastened to a base element (4), characterized in that at the ends of the base flaps (16, 17) there are hinged insertion flaps (18, 25) which are inserted into recesses (31, 32) in the base element (4) can be inserted and anchored there. 2.
