Verfahren zur Herstellung von Formkörpern aus Mischungen von ungesättigten Polyesterharzen mit polymerisierbaren monomeren Stoffen durch Gießen in Gipsformen Ungesättigte Polyesterharze, wie sie z. B. durch Kondensation ungesättigter Dicarbonsäuren, ge gebenenfalls unter Zusatz gesättigter mehrbasischer Carbonsäuren, mit mehrwertigen, vo.Tzugsei se zweiwertigen, gesättigeten Alkoholen oder aus gesättigten Dicarbonsäuren mit ungesättigten mehrwertigen Alkoholen zugänglich sind, lassen sich blekanntlich mit polymerisierbaren monomeren Stoffen, z. B. Styrol, Vinylpropionat, Diallyphthalalt u. dgl., zu Gießharzen kombinieren, die gegenüber bisher bekannten Gießharzen, z. B. auf Phenol- oder Harnstoffharzbasis, den Vorteil haben, daß sie nach Zusatz vorzugsweise organische Peroxydkatalysatoren, gegebenenfalls in Verbindung mit weiteren beschleunigend wirken den Stoffen, z. B. Kobaltnaphthenat, bereits bei Raumtemperatur in kurzer Zeit aushärten. Als Formenmaterial werden dabei meist Metalle, wie Eisen Aluminium, ferner auch Glas, Porzellan und gewisse Kunststoffe, wie Polyäthylen, Polyamide oder Polyvinylchlorid, verwendet.
