Meßvorrichtung zur Ermittlung der Abmasse von Briefsendungen.Measuring device for determining the dimensions of letters.
Durch das neue, von der Deutschen Bundespost - Postdienst eingeführten Preissystems "Brief 2000" ist es notwendig geworden, das Format, die Dicke und das Gewicht von Sendungen zu ermitteln. Aus diesen drei Parametern wird dann das zu entrichtende Entgelt ermittelt. Dies geschieht zur Zeit durch manuelles Messen mit einfachen Bandmaßen bzw. Linealen und Waagen. Gerade beim Messen der Höhe von größeren Briefen mit nicht definiertem Inhalt entstehen unweigerlich Ableseungenauigkeiten durch die Krümmung der Sendung und durch Parallaxenfehler, somit Meßfehler also Unsicherheiten in der Zuordnung zur entsprechenden Preiskategorie. Desweiteren sind die Messungen nicht vergleichbar. Auch ist es Zeitaufwendig jede Sendung manuell zu Vermessen und zu Wiegen. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, daß an einer Grundplatte (1), die auch die Auflagefläche einer Waage sein kann, eine Führungsschiene (3) angebracht ist, an der ein Meßschenkel (4) höhenverstellbar angebracht ist. Auf der Führungsschiene oder dem Meßschenkel ist eine Skala (5) angebracht, auf der die jeweilige Gebührenkategorie oder die Höhe der Sendung ablesbar ist. Mit Hilfe auf der Grundplatte aufgebrachter Linien (2) läßt sich so auch das Format bestimmen und so das zu entrichtende Porto. Eine weitere vorteilhafte Ausgestaltung wäre auch eine Anordnung, die auf elektronischem Wege das Porto ermittelt wie sie in den Schutzansprüchen 2 u. 3 angeben ist. Hierbei werden die Signale der Waage, der Höhenmeßeinrichtung und der Formatbestimmung von einem Mikrochip verarbeitet und das zu entrichtende Porto auf einem Display angezeigt oder an eine EDV-Anlage weitergeleitet. Dabei sind für die Formatbestimmung abtastende LED vorgesehen, die im entsprechenden Formatraster angebracht sind und die jeweiligen Daten an den Chip liefern.A further advantageous embodiment would be an arrangement that determines the postage electronically, as specified in claims 2 and 3.
