Mit der Erfindung wird im angegebenen Anwendungsfall erreicht, daß innerhalb der Sammelgrube das Abwasser mechanisch vorgeklärt wird, d.h. es werden weitestgehend die Feststoffe von der Flüssigphase getrennt und das vorgklärte Abwasser wird über die Oberfläche des nichtbindigen Materials und durch die Sumpfpflanzen verdunstet. Es verbleiben nur noch die Feststoffe (Schlamm) für den Abtransport.
