Die Stärke der Meßtabletten beträgt nur I bis 3 mm und weniger. Der Druck bewirkt eine gleichmäßige Verteilung des Wassers innerhalb der Meßtablette und schaltet damit Meßfehler, hervorgerufen durch den unterschiedlichen Wassergehalt in verschiedenen Lagen des Meßgutes, wie diese sonst .bei der .Widerstandsmessung oder der Dämpfungsmethode auftreten, völlig aus.
