vorzugsweise Glimmer, gegeneinander isoliert.
Collector of electrical machines and apparatus The lamellas of collectors
electrical machines and apparatus are known to be made of solid insulating layers,
preferably mica, isolated from one another. Since these liners with consideration
made too thin for reliable insulation and sufficient strength
their space requirements are quite large. They therefore increase the diameter
of the collector to a large extent. In addition, the mica commonly used
difficult to obtain. Substitutes usually have such a non-uniformity
Structure that the strength of the collector is at risk. The invention relates
on a collector of electrical machines and apparatus on which for insulation
of the lamellas against each other on this one firmly adhering insulating layer
is and in which the described disadvantage of the previous arrangement is avoided.
According to the invention, in particular for collectors whose lamellae are made of carbon,

The described insulating layer can
be kept very thin. The new one is suitable because of the small footprint
Insulation especially for collectors with metal strips arranged between carbon lamellas
for even power distribution. In this case, the insulating layer is expedient
from the glaze described.
z. B. Kupfer, bestehen.
B. Seidenpapier, angeordnet.Exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing.
Here, FIG. I shows the detail of a collector; whose slats i made of metal,
z. B. copper exist. According to the invention, the slats are on one or both of them
Provided the sides with a firmly adhering insulating layer 2. This insulating layer can
be formed for example by a lacquer that is applied to the flanks of the slats
is painted on or sprayed on. If the paint is kept so soft that it can
wears out just as quickly during operation as the slats, so he can touch the flanks of the slat
Cover up to the tread. However, if a very hard insulating layer is used,
so - as shown here - it is set back from the running surface as much as with
wear of the lamellas is to be expected. Then the one that remains free is expedient

a glaze is used with particular advantage. Between the adjacent flanks
the slats are advantageously elastic intermediate layers q., z. B. tissue paper, arranged.
Fig. 2 shows part of the cross section through one made of carbon lamellas
5 assembled collector. In this case, in the manner already proposed, between the
individual carbon lamellas made of metal, e.g. B. copper, existing strips 6 for power supply
and for a more even distribution of the current over the entire length of the lamella
arranged. According to the invention, the lamellae are provided with an insulating layer on one side
7 provided. Here, too, either those that are used are used as the insulating layer
wear at the same time as the slats and therefore the slat flank up to the running surface
can cover, or particularly resistant layers are used,
which must then be set back as far from the tread as with wear
of the slats is to be expected. In the latter case, the best is

existing thin liquid a good penetration and anchoring in the pores of the particular

is increased. Such glazes give an excellent result after hardening

and large pressures securely on the lamella. Also in the embodiment shown in FIG
